In this Sunday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the five Saturday selections that the Pittsburgh Steelers made during day-three of the 2026 NFL Draft. Alex and I thoroughly profile the selections of RET/WR Kaden Wetjen, FB/TE Riley Nowakowski, DL Gabriel Rubio, S Robert Spears-Jennings, and RB/WR Eli Heidenreich on Saturday morning. We also talk about where all five of the players fit positionally and how and how much each one of the five could contribute to the Steelers in 2026. Throughout us discussing the Saturday selections, Alex and I have conversations about overall value of a few of them when it comes to perceived consensuses round grades. We discuss convictions and wants related to perceived draft value. After recapping the Steelers day-three draft picks, Alex and I discuss the growing list of undrafted free agents that the Steelers have reportedly agreed to terms with as of Sunday morning. Just five players on that list with more likely to be known by Monday morning. We also discuss when the Steelers are likely to hold their annual rookie minicamp now that the draft is over with. There is some news related to the Steelers' scouting department that surfaced on Sunday morning that Alex and I make sure to pass along late during this podcast episode. In this Saturday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the four Friday selections that the Pittsburgh Steelers made during day-two of the 2026 NFL Draft. Alex and I thoroughly profile the selections of WR Germie Bernard, QB Drew Allar, CB Daylen Everette, and OL Gennings Dunker on Saturday morning. April 24, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 125 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the Pittsburgh Steelers selecting OT Max Iheanachor out of Arizona State with their first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. We discuss what the Steelers are getting in Iheanachor, his strengths and weaknesses, and how he probably fits in positionally on the offensive line as a rookie. Alex and I discuss what Steelers GM Omar Khan and HC Mike McCarthy both had to say about Iheanachor following the selection of the tackle in the first round. We also discuss whether OT Troy Fautanu will shift over to the left side at some point as well as the future of OT Broderick Jones moving forward into the coming season. The Steelers were poised to select WR Makai Lemon out of USC with their first-round selection and even had him on the phone prior to the Philadelphia Eagles trading ahead of them to snatch the wide receiver before Pittsburgh was officially on the clock. We discuss the overall process that led to Lemon being snaked via a trade with the Dallas Cowboys and how it makes Pittsburgh's front office look bad overall. The Steelers seemed to use most of their clock time before turning in their selection of Iheanachor so we discuss what may have led to that. We talk about the Steelers failing to trade up one spot for Lemon and then apparently not being able to trade back in the first round after the Eagles picked the wide receiver. Alex and I discuss the importance of looking at what happened Thursday with separate views as it relates to Iheanachor and the overall process that led to him being their selection. After recapping everything related to the Steelers first round selection on Thursday night, Alex and I go over several possible and realistic Friday night targets for the Steelers in Rounds 2 and 3. We make sure to discuss how both of us would like to see the Steelers trade up on Friday night and thus go get a player or players they really want, and especially after failing to land Lemon in the first round. This 65-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted in the recap above. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

In this Tuesday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing former Pittsburgh Steelers HC Mike Tomlin being hired by NBC as part of their Sunday Night Football crew. Steelers team president Art Rooney II recently addressed the wait for QB Aaron Rodgers to decide on his future during an interview, so we make sure to recap what he had to say on a possible timeline moving forward with the 2026 NFL Draft now right around the corner. The contract details related to the Steelers’ recent signings of OL Brock Hoffman and RB Travis Homer are now known as of Tuesday morning, so Alex and I recap those figures during the first half of this episode. On the heels of Steelers GM Omar Khan and HC Mike McCarthy holding their pre-draft press conference on Monday, Alex and I make sure recap everything notable that was said during it. We parse a lot of quotes from Khan and McCarthy from Monday. This leads to good discussions of various key topics related to both the draft and other things. At the end of this show, Alex and I go over the combined deep reception stats from the last two seasons of the top 15 wide receiver prospects in the annual Dane Brugler draft guide. In this Friday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the final known pre-draft visitor that the Pittsburgh Steelers hosted on Wednesday. That means we discuss DB Treydan Stukes, an Arizona product, following his visit to Pittsburgh on Wednesday. We go over Stukes' fit in Pittsburgh and when he is most likely to get drafted. After reviewing the final list of the Steelers' pre-draft visitors for 2026, Alex and I spend some time talking about whether the team will select a quarterback this year and how soon if they do. We also discuss how many other teams are likely to select a quarterback during the first four rounds of the 2026 NFL Draft and if that might impact the Steelers when it comes to them waiting to select one until after the fourth round. The Steelers made their three new coordinators, Brian Angelichio (OC), Patrick Graham (DC), and Danny Crossman (STC), available to the media on Friday morning and on the heels of those sessions, we discuss a few notable things that were said by each of the three coaches. Alex conducted a live mock draft on Thursday night, and he streamed it on YouTube. Additionally, several listeners took part in it as GMs of other NFL teams. We discuss the team that Alex was able to draft for the Steelers during that four round mock and we go over a few takeaways that were learned from it as well. April 15, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 120 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. That means the discuss QB Drew Allar, OG Olaivavega Ioane, OG Beau Stephens, TE Will Kacmarek, OL Spencer Fano, WR Germie Bernard, and QB Taylen Green all coming to Pittsburgh since our last show on Monday. As Alex and I await word on the 30th pre-draft visitor to surface, we go over the list of 29 known non-local players that have come to Pittsburgh with our focus being on those that are legitimate candidates to be the team's first-round selection this year. WR Omar Cooper Jr. isn't going to be on the Steelers' pre-draft visitor list this year, so we go over that bit of news and what that likely means for his chances of being the team's first-round pick this year. Alex recently posted version 3.0 of his offseason mock draft series so with that, we review the 12 selections he has for the Steelers. We also make sure to plug our upcoming livestreamed mock draft that Alex will be running on Thursday night. Alex also recently posted about three trade scenarios for the Steelers during the 2026 NFL Draft, so we review his ideas related to that topic. I also get Alex's thoughts on one other possible trade scenario in the first round for the Steelers. Later in this show, Alex and I go over the lengthy list of pre-draft visits that WR Denzel Boston has had. We also discuss the news that former Steelers WR Hines Ward will be back in Pittsburgh for the 2026 NFL Draft. April 13, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 119 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the pre-draft visitors the team recently hosted on Friday. That means that we fully discuss three draft prospects in OT Travis Burke, LB Harold Perkins, and CB Malik Muhammad. With the Steelers bringing in quite a few cornerbacks for pre-draft visits this year, Alex and I examine the possibility of the team selecting one in the first two days of the 2026 NFL Draft and even as early as the second round at 53rd overall. On the heels of Alex doing a draft study on wide receivers that have been selected over the years, we ho over the one player that checked every box and the few that were able to check all but one of the testing boxes. We discuss how future studies for other positions are likely to go by the wayside due to most players have incomplete pre-draft testing profiles. Could and should the Steelers select a punter this year during the draft? Alex and I attempt to answer that question later in this show and as part of that, we look at the top punter in this draft class. April 10, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 118 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning show, which was recorded late Thursday night, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the recent pre-draft visitors that the team hosted. That means that we fully discuss three draft prospects in WR Makai Lemon, S Emmanuel McNeil-Warren, and TE Marlin Klein. Alex and I also go over the 16 prospects that are scheduled to attend the 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh in two weeks. After going over that list of players, we note a few interesting things concerning a few of those players along with the positions represented. After the pre-draft visitor and draft attendee discussions, Alex and I discuss the recent post I wrote concerning the plausibility of the Steelers trading up in the first round with the Dallas Cowboys. We go over whether the Steelers could, should or would trade ILB Patrick Queen to the Cowboys to move up to 12th overall in the first round to select either OG Olaivavega Ioane or possibly even Lemon. We discuss what might need to happen in the first 11 picks of the 2026 NFL Draft before the Cowboys might consider trading out of the 12th over position and how conversations with the Steelers, and possibly even Queen, would likely need to happen before the first round gets underway. We also discuss why the Steelers might be open to trading Queen and why they also might not be interested in dealing him. Later in the show, Alex discusses his thoughts on the Steelers possibly trading down in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft with the Buffalo Bills. April 8, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 117 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the Pittsburgh Steelers starting phase one of their offseason program on Tuesday and how it seems like the team has strong attendance when it comes to their veteran players. We go over several players who we spotted in pictures on Tuesday. The Steelers continue to bring in pre-draft visitors this week and so Alex and I go over the six players that have visited Pittsburgh through Wednesday morning. That list of players includes WR Denzel Boston, DL Darrell Jackson Jr., LB Jaden Dugger, WR Skyler Bell, S Jakobe Thomas, and LB Jack Kelly. We also discuss how the team has yet to bring in more sure-fire first-round prospects as of Wednesday. On the heels of Peter Schrager of ESPN releasing his first mock draft of 2026 on Tuesday, Alex and I discuss his curious selection of EDGE T.J. Parker at 21st overall. We both explain how we don't see the Steelers selecting an edge rusher until at least day-three of the draft. Dane Brugler of The Athletic released his annual draft guide on Wednesday morning so Alex and I start clawing our way through that large publication. We go over players ranked in Brugler's top 30 that could potentially be the Steelers first-round selection this year. We also give more thought to Pittsburgh potentially drafting a tackle in the first round this year. Are the Baltimore Ravens destined to select OG Olaivavega Ioane with their first-round pick this year? April 7, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 116 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the offseason schedule that the Pittsburgh Steelers released since our last show. We go over how it differs this year and how we are still awaiting the dates of the team's rookie minicamp. Tony Pauline recently had an update on former Indiana WR Omar Cooper Jr. as it relates to him potentially being the Steelers' first round selection this year, so we go over that little tidbit. Alex and I also look at two other wide receivers in this year’s draft class, Elijah Sarratt out of Indiana and Denzel Boston out of Washington, as it relates to them both checking a ton of boxes when it comes to what the Steelers look for from measurable and testing standpoints. Is former Miami QB Carson Beck a legitimate draft option for the Steelers this year? We address that question on the heels of something posted recently by Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Alex and I also look at how many boxes that Beck checks on the old list of qualities that Bill Parcells used to adhere to. As part of those boxes checked conversation, Alex and I name several other quarterbacks that fit that list. Alex recently graded all the notable offseason free agent additions made by the Steelers up until this point, so we go over each of those and where we slightly differ with each player. April 3, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 115 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing Pittsburgh Steelers ILB Patrick Queen recently changing agents and what that move may or may not mean overall. We also look ahead to the 2026 season when it comes to Queen and what we hope to see out of him in his third season in Pittsburgh. The Las Vegas Raiders have now signed free agent QB Kirk Cousins, so we discuss that news as well as the known contract numbers. As part of that Cousins contract discussion, Alex and I discuss what impact, if any, his new deal will have on a contract that QB Aaron Rodgers ultimately signs with the Steelers in the coming days or weeks. The Steelers have had a few of their own unrestricted free agents sign elsewhere since our last show, so we go over the who and the where as part of that conversation. We also review who we spotted from the Steelers at the Indiana pro day on Wednesday. Our own Ross McCorkle recently posted about the explosive passing plays the Steelers registered in 2025, so we go over the data he compiled and what it means. We also look ahead at the Steelers hoping to register more explosive passing plays in 2026 and how they might be challenged to achieve such a goal, and especially with Rodgers at quarterback once again. Is there a strong chance that former Penn State OG Olaivavega Ioane will ultimately fall to the Steelers in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft? We attempt to answer that question by looking at team needs when it comes to the current draft order of the 20 selections ahead of Pittsburgh. Later in this show, Alex and I discuss the future of Pro Football Focus going forward and how their product has impacted data collection over the years. We debate that question and more. We also look at Gerry Dulac's suggestion that a first-round tight end could be in play and what that means for the Steelers. April 1, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 114 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the several things that Pittsburgh Steelers HC Mike McCarthy and team president Art Rooney II both said in recent interviews while the two were in Arizona for the NFL's annual league meetings. We first discuss whether Rooney II indeed now has a firm deadline for a decision by QB Aaron Rodgers. We also discuss what McCarthy has said recently about his conversations with Rodgers. McCarthy talked more about Steelers QB Will Howard the last few days, so we go over those quates. We also discuss McCarthy talking more about the kind of wide receiver he might be looking for in this year's draft. As part of that wide receiver discussion, Alex and I look back at some measurables from that position group that McCarthy has previously drafted while he was the head coach of the Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys. We compare those measurable averages to several top wide receivers in this year's draft class. Will McCarthy, Khan, or both show up at the Indiana pro day on Wednesday? We discuss that question in addition to what McCarthy said recently about only attending one pro day so far even though he had planned to make six of them this offseason. After wrapping up all the things that McCarthy and Rooney have recently said, Alex and I discuss the probability of the Steelers selecting a quarterback in this year's draft. We look at what McCarthy seems to be looking for as far as quarterback measurables and how former Arkansas QB Taylen Green fits those. Green, by the way, is reportedly scheduled to come to Pittsburgh for a pre-drafty visit. The Steelers are also reportedly bringing in former Memphis OT Travis Burke for a pre-draft visit, so Alex and I discuss what we know about him and how he might be a day-three selection candidate for the team later this month. Alex recently spotted several key members from the Steelers at the Tennessee pro day so on the heels of those sightings, we discuss the two top cornerbacks from that school and the possibility of the Steelers selecting one of them in the first round later this month. Would the Steelers really consider selecting former Oregon TE Kenyon Sadiq in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft? We address that question thanks to recent comments made in an online chat by Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. This 99-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted in the above recap and we end this show by answering several emails we received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. March 30, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 113 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the start of the NFL league meetings in Arizona this week and how we're expected to hear from Pittsburgh Steelers HC Mike McCarthy a few times during the next two days. Alex and I come up with a few questions that we think McCarthy should be asked while he's in Arizona with most of those being focused on his pro day process these last several weeks. Steelers president Art Rooney II recently made some comments about a potential decision timeline for QB Aaron Rodgers, so we make sure to recap that topic. We also discuss what Steelers former QB Charlie Batch had to say about the contract value for Rodgers. Alex and I discuss where Rodgers should be slotted with his 2026 contract value should he ultimately re-sign with the Steelers. ESPN has a new mock draft out on Monday morning and it includes 12 selections for the Steelers. We discuss all of those picks and especially the first five and whether we like them. Former Indiana WR Omar Cooper Jr. seemingly remains a first-round draft prospect for the Steelers and because of that, Alex and I discuss some potential stats for him through his first four NFL seasons. We once again address whether Cooper is indeed worthy of a first-round selection, or if he might be in play for the Steelers in the second-round after trading up. Later in this show, Alex recaps his post on yards per route run when it comes to several wide receivers in the 2026 draft class. We also discuss how wide receivers should be graded and if weaknesses of each player should be highlighted. Much later in this show, Alex and I quickly recap what Minnesota Vikings HC Kevin O'Connell had to say about new Steelers OC Brian Angelichio on Monday morning as part of him being interviewed during the annual NFC coaches’ breakfast in Arizona. This 92-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted in the above recap and we end this show by answering several emails we received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. March 27, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 112 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the recent pro days conducted by Ohio State and Alabama and how neither Pittsburgh Steelers GM Omar Khan nor HC Mike McCarthy were present for either of them. We also talk about how Khan and McCarthy have only really attended one pro day outside of Pittsburgh this offseason and how not very many positional coaches have been spotted on the road these last several weeks. Alex and I discuss how we will likely need to rely heavily on the pre-draft visits the Steelers conduct this offseason when it comes to figuring out several potential selections this year. We also wonder if the new Steelers pre-draft process might become the new normal moving forward. Moving forward from our discussions about the Steelers' pre-draft process this offseason, Alex and I have several conversations that are centered around the wide receiver position, both globally and related to the Steelers. We discuss positional value when it comes to first round wide receivers and specifically as it relates to drafts dating back to 2016. We go over the compact list of elite and exceptionally good wide receivers that were selected in the first-round dating back to 2016. We move forward to discuss this year's wide receiver draft class as it relates to the Steelers and which players might be worthy of a first round selection, and specifically at 21st overall. Is former Indiana WR Omar Cooper Jr. a bona fide first rounder? Does he exit college as a gamechanger at the wide receiver position? Alex and I discuss several key advanced analytics when it comes to this year's wide receiver draft class and that includes us going over yards per routes run, drops, and much more. Can the Steelers get the proper usage and production out of a first round wide receiver this year on the heels of the team trading for WR Michael Pittman Jr. this offseason? How much does the decision of QB Aaron Rodgers play into answering that question? We discuss those two questions during this show. Is guard the easiest position for the Steelers to address in the first round this year when it comes to value and rookie year production and playing time? We address that question in this show. Alex recently wrote about empty routes by wide receivers in Pittsburgh during the last several seasons, so we make sure to review that post along with his findings and takeaways. March 25, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 111 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the big pro days that are scheduled for Wednesday with Ohio State and Alabama being the most notable ones. We also discuss the lack of sightings of Pittsburgh Steelers GM Omar Khan and HC Mike McCarthy so far on the pro day circuit and if that is a big deal. As of Wednesday morning, it sounds like the Steelers will ultimately sign veteran free agent DB Darnell Savage Jr. soon, so we go over the latest concerning him and why he likely still isn't officially under contract with the team at this point. Ben Solak of ESPN has the Steelers ranked first in offseason roster improvement through the first two weeks of free agency, so we go over his reasons for listed for that opinion. Several rule and bylaw changes are being proposed this offseason, so Alex and I recap all of those based on Tuesday reporting on that topic. Former Steelers HC Mike Tomlin appears set to get into the NFL media side based on Tuesday news that he has new representation that is focused on such employment. We discuss what that might mean for him for the 2026 season. Alex dropped his latest Steelers mock draft on Wednesday morning, so we make sure to go over all 12 of his selections thoroughly later in this show. March 23, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 110 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing a few notable things that have transpired around the NFL since our last show. As part of that discussion, we talk about the huge contract extension that Seattle Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba has now received. We also talk about the NFL players versus the USA team in flag football that occurred over the weekend. The Steelers reportedly re-signed backup OL Ryan McCollum over the weekend so we discuss that move in addition to the team reportedly finally signing free agent OL Brock Hoffman as well. While the team has yet to make the Hoffman signing official, we hope that will ultimately be the case this time. Alex and I discuss how McCollum and Hoffman potentially fit on the depth chart. Aaron Rodgers and Will Howard were together at a charity event over the weekend, so Alex and I address that news and what we take away from it. Alex and I recap how all of the Steelers’ offseason moves to date now gives the team a lot of flexibility when it comes to the 2026 NFL Draft and especially when it comes to the first four rounds. We talk about how the team is now likely done with expensive additions at this point in the offseason. The Steelers are reportedly scheduled to bring in former LSU LB Harold Perkins for a pre-draft visit at some point, so Alex and I discuss that Monday morning news during this show as well. Our own Ross McCorkle recently released his latest Steelers' mock draft, so Alex and I use some of this show to review the 12 selections he has listed in that. We go over our favorite mock selections from this effort and where the biggest pushback from fans is likely to be. Later in this show the news breaks that the Steelers are signing free agent RB Travis Homer, so Alex and I discuss that transaction and how he potentially fits with the 2026 team. We also talk about what the Homer signing might mean for Steelers RB Kaleb Johnson and specifically when it comes to him potentially be traded at some point during the offseason. March 20, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 109 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing why there are more trades around the NFL this offseason, and specifically, ahead of the draft, then ever before. The Steelers had a very noticeable presence at the North Dakota State pro day on Thursday to see QB Cole Payton go through his paces. We discuss the meaning of that, who went to see Payton, and the Steelers bringing in Payton for a pre-draft visit on Friday. Three other draft hopeful players are joining Payton in Pittsburgh for visits with the Steelers on Friday, so Alex and I discuss Washington CB Tacario Davis, Texas Tech ILB Jacob Rodriguez, and Georgia Tech G Keylan Rutledge. Alex and I also discuss Alabama WR Germie Bernard scheduled to come to town soon and Illinois DL James Thompson Jr. and Pittsburgh LB Kyle Louis both visiting with the team on Thursday. With the annual Michigan pro day scheduled to take place on Friday, Alex and I wonder if Steelers HC Mike McCarthy and GM Omar Khan will be attending it and especially with four pre-draft visitors being in Pittsburgh to meet with the team. Later in this Friday show, we go over the most recent 2026 salary cap update that I posted on Thursday for the Steelers. March 18, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 108 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing Pittsburgh Steelers HC Mike McCarthy making his first pro day appearance of 2026 at Georgia. We discuss several of the top Georgia draft prospects in this early portion of the podcast. The Penn State pro day, like Georgia's, is also taking place on Wednesday so Alex and I discuss the top draft 2026 draft picks from that college. Washington WR Denzel Boston had his pro day a few days ago and now he reportedly will be coming to Pittsburgh soon for a pre-draft visit with the Steelers. Alex and I discuss what that means in addition to our early thoughts on his college play. The Steelers also recently brought in Miami QB Carson Beck and San Diego State CB Chris Johnson in for pre-draft visits this week, so we go over the significance of that news and our views on both players. Might the Steelers consider selecting Kentucky WR Kendrick Law in the later rounds of the 2026 NFL Draft as the second of two wide receivers chosen? Alex and I address his recent pre-draft visit with the Steelers as part of attempting to answer that question. Alex and I also address a few recent pro day sightings related to the Steelers during this show. The contract details related to new Steelers WR Michael Pittman Jr. have finally surfaced so Alex and I go over everything related to that three-year deal. We also discuss the finer details related to the new contracts signed by RB Rico Dowdle, S Jaquan Brisker, and DL Sebastian Joseph-Day. Throughout this Wednesday podcast, Alex and I discuss a few things related to the upcoming 2026 NFL Draft as it relates to prospects the Steelers might have interest in. We also discuss some recently awarded 2025 performance-based pay totals of Steelers players. With Brisker and Joseph-Day both recently holding their introductory press conferences, Alex and I go over what stood out from those. March 16, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 107 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the Pittsburgh Steelers agreeing to terms with free agent DL Sebastian Joseph-Day on Friday. We recap our thoughts on the Joseph-Day addition, how he fits in Pittsburgh, his contract details, and much more. The Steelers received a sizeable 2026 salary cap credit over the weekend, so Alex and I recap the details related to that. We also give an update on where the Steelers now sit roughly when it comes to available salary cap space in the middle of March. Alex and I also look at where else the Steelers might look at adding a few additional free agents on the cheap moving forward. The 2026 roster bonuses have now been earned by DB Jalen Ramsey and ILB Patrick Queen as of Sunday, so Alex and I discuss how it appears both players are now more likely to be on the team’s roster this coming season. The Steelers are having at least two more players in for pre-draft visits on Monday so Alex and I redcap that morning news that broke during this show. The San Francisco 49ers are signing former Steelers P Corliss Waitman to a free agent deal as of this weekend, so Alex and I also make sure to recap that latest news during this show. The New York Jets have agreed to trade QB Justin Fields to the Kansas City Chiefs as of Monday morning and because of that, Alex and I make sure to recap what's known about that deal. On Friday, new three new Steelers, WR Michael Pittman Jr., RB Rico Dowdle, and CB Jamel Dean all had their introductory press conferences, so we make sure to recap the notable things that were said by each during those sessions. With the 2026 NFL Draft getting closer, Alex and I give our thoughts on our own probabilities of the positions the Steelers may address in the first round. We go over Bricker's best fit in the Steelers' defense, his contract, injury history, and his pros and cons after four NFL seasons. With Brisker now in Pittsburgh, along with a few other new secondary players, Alex and I discuss Steelers veteran DB Jalen Ramsey and his status with the team. We go over why Friday the 13th is a big day for the Steelers and Ramsey when it comes to commitment level related to his contract. We discuss the plausibility of Ramsey being cut or traded by 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Several more of the Steelers 2026 unrestricted free agents have now found new homes as WR Calvin Austin III, TE Connor Heyward, and S Miles Killebrew all agreed to terms with new teams on Thursday. We go over the details related to the loss of those three players during this Friday show. With free agent QB Kyler Murray signing with the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday, Alex and I discuss Pittsburgh being the only realistic landing spot for QB Aaron Rodgers this offseason. We discuss Rodgers' potential contract with the Steelers should he indeed re-sign with the team this offseason. Later in this show, Alex and I revisit the finer details of the one-year contract extension that Steelers DT Cameron Heyward signed this past week. Specifically, Alex and I look at the financial details related to the 2027 contract year for Heyward. During this Friday show, Alex and I learn of another Steelers' pre-draft visitor. March 11, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 105 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the Baltimore Ravens reneging on their trade with the Las Vegas Raiders for EDGE Maxx Crosby because of a failed physical. We have quite a bit to say on that topic. The Ravens have since decided to sign former Cincinnati Bengals EDGE Trey Hendrickson as an unrestricted free agent, so Alex and I obviously have comments on that AFC North transaction. The Steelers agreed to terms with P Cameron Johnston and S Darnell Savage to cheap one-year contracts on Tuesday, so Alex and I go over the additions of those two players. We also discuss the projected contract numbers for both players. Alex and I then proceed to discuss the erroneous report on Tuesday night concerning the Steelers agreeing to terms with untendered free agent Dallas Cowboys OL Brock Hoffman. We discuss Jordan Schultz deleting that report and the chances of the Steelers still being able to get Hoffman signed after the start of the new league year. Steelers DT Cameron Heyward was in the news on Tuesday thanks to him getting a one-year extension from the team. Alex and I go over the finer details related to Heyward's contract extension and how it essentially was just the veteran defensive linemen receiving a $2 million raise for the 2026 season. We also discuss Heyward's 2026 salary cap number decreasing by nearly $5.5 million and why that happened. While several contract details related to newly signed players have yet to surface, I give a rough estimate at where the Steelers currently sit when it comes to salary cap space based on several educated guesses. Later in this show, Alex and I discuss where the Steelers currently sit on the 2027 compensatory draft pick standings. We talk about how the Steelers might exit this offseason with just one compensatory draft pick ultimately being awarded to the team a year from now. March 10, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 104 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Tuesday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the additions the Pittsburgh Steelers made on Monday, the first day of the 2026 legal tampering period. Alex and I talk quite extensively about the Steelers trading for WR Michael Pittman Jr. and their signings of CB Jamel Dean and RB Rico Dowdle. We go over what is known about the contracts given to all three players and what we have seen on tape from all of them. We also grade each of the player additions. The Steelers also re-signed CB Asante Samuel Jr., ILB Cole Holcomb and DL Esezi Otomewo on Monday so we talk about all three of those new deals during this show. The Steelers also lost three of their own free agents on Monday in G Isaac Seumalo, RB Kenneth Gainwell, and CB James Pierre. We discuss the three deals those players signed with new teams during this show. Alex and I move forward to discuss the positions the Steelers might target as they move forward into the legal tampering period. We also go over a few individual players the team might consider signing. There’s been a lot of recent smoke concerning the Dallas Cowboys possibly wanting to trade for Steelers ILB Patrick Queen, so Alex and I address that topic during this show. We go over why the Steelers might be willing to trade Queen, what they might be looking for as compensation for him, and what the team's plan might be if he's ultimately dealt before March 15. The Steelers officially received their 2026 compensatory draft picks on Monday, so Alex and I recap those. We also address where the Steelers stand right now as far as 2027 compensatory draft pick values go as we head into Tuesday. The Baltimore Ravens have lost quite a few of their own free agents so far, so Alex and I address that topic. We also address why Steelers C Zach Frazier and TE Darnell Washington are pretty happy with what they both observed on Monday. March 9, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 103 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the Pittsburgh Steelers reportedly re-signing two of their own unrestricted free agents in CB Asante Samuel Jr. and ILB Cole Holcomb. We go over the reported contract terms for each player and discuss if the Holcomb re-signing could result in ILB Malik Harrison being cut soon. It sounds like free agent CB James Pierre might have a healthy market should the Steelers not re-sign him by Wednesday afternoon, so we discuss that bit of news that came in on Sunday. The Baltimore Ravens are trading for former Las Vegas Raiders EDGE Maxx Crosby as of this weekend, so Alex and I discuss the compensation given and whether that was a good decision made by the AFC North team. The cornerback position group appears set to have a new APY leader by the middle of the week and with that expected to happen, Alex and I discuss what that will likely mean when it comes to an offseason contract extension for CB Joey Porter Jr. We go over Porter's perceived market value floor entering the start of the NFL league year. We also discuss the career earnings for Porter's father, Joey Porter Sr. The annual NFL free agent tampering period gets underway on Monday at noon and because of that, there's a lot of news to pass along related to several teams. We go over the headlines of trades and re-signings that we know about while this show was being recorded. Alex and I discuss whether the Steelers will ultimately restructure the contract of OLB T.J. Watt this offseason and the pros and cons related to that topic. We also discuss when a Watt restructuring will likely happen this offseason if it even happens at all. Alex and I close this episode out by going over several high-profile players around the NFL that we will be watching closely throughout the next few days when it comes to the legal NFLK free agent tampering period and beyond. March 6, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 102 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the Pittsburgh Steelers officially parting ways with TE Jonnu Smith on Wednesday. We review what went wrong during Smith's one season in Pittsburgh and possibly why. Will the steelers cut ILB Malik Harrison prior to Wednesday and they don't, does that mean he is sure to be on the 53-man roster in 2026? We address his situation with the start of the 2026 league year getting close. QB Aaron Rodgers was a guest on The Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday, so Alex and I recap all that the veteran quarterback said and didn’t say during that long appearance. We go over Rodgers not yet making his decision on his 2026 status and what all he hoped to accomplish as part of his Wednesday interview. We also review what Rodgers had to say on Wednesday about new Steelers HC Mike McCarthy and QB Will Howard during his long interview. Should we be concerned if Rodgers hasn’t made his thoughts known for 2026 by Monday, or Wednesday? Alex and I discuss that aspect of this second waiting game with the veteran quarterback. Will the Steelers show any interest in possibly signing soon-to-be free agent QB Malik Willis next week? As we wait for the answer to that question, Alex and I discuss the perceived market value of Willis based on a recent projection by former NFL agent Joel Corry of CBS Sports. On the heels of Alex releasing his free agent wish list for the Steelers for 2026, we go over all of his choices. We discuss the projected market prices for several of the players on his list and I add in the few other free agent players I think the Steelers should pursue starting next week. Late in this Friday show, Alex and I get the news that the Steelers have their first pre-draft visitor, former Miami OT Markel Bell, in for the 2026 offseason. We make sure to review that news in addition to the Friday morning news of the Las Vegas Raiders planning to cut QB Geno Smith next week. March 4, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 101 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the latest news concerning Pittsburgh Steelers WR Calvin Austin III, who has now switched agents ahead of the start of the 2026 league year. We also briefly discuss the Steelers officially parting ways with T Calvin Anderson on Monday. With Arizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray driving the NFL news cycle on Tuesday thanks to him being officially released in less than week, Alex and I have a long discussion about him as it relates to him possibly being a cheap quarterback option for the Steelers , should the team ultimately not bring back QB Aaron Rodgers for whatever reason. Warren Sharp recently had a very informational post and video dedicated to Murray and his play since 2022, so Alex and I make sure to cover all of that detailed data during this show. We discuss the pros and cons related to Murray moving forward past his upcoming release and we also look ahead to the Miami Dolphins likely releasing QB Tua Tagovailoa in the coming days. Alex and I have a long discussion about what I would do at the quarterback position this offseason if I were GM Omar Khan. I lay out how I would make a serious trade inquiry for San Francisco 49ers QB Mac Jones and why. We look at diverse types of trade compensation when it comes to Jones, one of which includes Steelers OLB Nick Herbig as part of a package. Alex gives his thoughts on what I would do when it comes to looking into Jones's availability and we make sure to include the upcoming availability of Green Bay Packers QB Malik Willis in free agency as part of our discussions. With several players on the Steelers set to become free agents next week, Alex and I go over his stay or leave predictions for every player on that list. Alex and I actually have different predictions when it comes to several soon-to-be free agents on that lengthy list. Later in this Wednesday show, Alex and I discuss the breaking news that the Kansas City Chiefs have agreed to trade CB Trent McDuffie to the Los Angeles Rams at the start of the 2026 league year. March 2, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 100 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the Pittsburgh Steelers being poised to part ways with T Calvin Anderson by the start of the 2026 NFL year. We discuss the cap savings related to Anderson being released and why such a decision is likely to be made now with him. A Monday morning report indicated that Steelers T Broderick Jones needed neck fusion surgery following his 2025 injury, so Alex and I discuss that news update. We also address the upcoming fifth-year option decision the Steelers have when it comes to Jones, and we go over the amount that 2027 is now scheduled to cost. With Anderson being cut and Jones dealing with a neck issue, Alex and I address the probability and plausibility related to the Steelers addressing the tackle position in either free agency, the draft, or both. We also talk about the likelihood of the Steelers selecting both a guard and tackle in the first four rounds of the 2026 NFL Draft. The NFL released the 2026 salary cap number over the weekend, so Alex and I make sure to cover that big news during this show. With the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine now wrapped up as of Monday morning, Alex and I recap the entire event starting with the safety, cornerback, and tight end groups. We go over how enticing this year's safety class appears to be with the combine now over with. As part of our combine positional group recaps, Alex and I spend some extra time discussing the outlook of former Arkansas QB Taylen Green, who posted a phenomenal athletic testing profile over the weekend. Alex and I discuss the wide receivers, tight ends, running backs, and offensive linemen groups from this year's combine as well. Is there much to do about the combine meeting and interviews related to USC WR Makai Lemon? Did his draft stock really drop based on the weekend reports concerning his team meetings and podium interview? We spend a little time attempting to answer those questions about him during this show. Alex and I go over some of our global takeaways concerning the Steelers as it relates to the combine process. In this Friday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the Pittsburgh Steelers when it comes to the Thursday leaked NFLPA report card for 2026. We go over the grades the Steelers received on that report card in various categories and much more. On the heels of the leaked NFLPA report on Thursday, and with Mike Tomlin no longer the team's head coach, Alex and I discuss what kind of draw the Steelers currently have when it comes to the team attempting to sign unrestricted free agents in the near future. The 2026 NFL Scouting Combine is well underway in Indianapolis, IN and with the first day of on-the-field testing now completed, Alex and I recap what stood out on Thursday when it comes to the defensive line, edge, and linebacker groups. We discuss how deep a few of those position groups seem to be this year and we go over several individual performances from players on Thursday. Alex and I look ahead to the Friday position groups at the scouting combine and that means we preview the cornerbacks, safeties, and tight ends during this Friday show. We discuss several players we will have our eyes on later on Friday. With the draft hopeful quarterbacks and wide receivers talking to the media on Friday morning at the scouting combine, Alex and recap the players that the Steelers have had formal and informal meetings with so far. Could and should the Steelers look into trading for Jacksonville Jaguars WR Brian Thomas Jr. during the next eight weeks? We discuss that question and also go over the plausibility and probability of such a trade coming to fruition. Alex and I talk about what would be acceptable trade compensation from the Steelers should the Jaguars indeed be willing to trade Thomas in the coming weeks. The Dallas Cowboys have now officially placed the franchise tag on former Steelers WR George Pickens, so Alex and I discuss that bit of news later in this Friday show. February 25, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 98 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the several things that Pittsburgh Steelers GM Omar Khan had to say on Tuesday during his multiple press conferences and interviews that took place at the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine. Khan talked about the latest timeline and status of free agent QB Aaron Rodgers on Tuesday in addition to mentioning how excited the team is to continue working with QB Will Howard this offseason. We wrap up everything that Khan had to say about the quarterback position for 2026 and beyond to get this episode started. Khan made it relatively clear that veteran DB Jalen Ramsey will likely remain with the Steelers in 2026, so Alex and I discuss his Tuesday comments related to that topic. We also address what Khan had to say about the injury rehab of T Broderick Jones and the possibility that he might be ready for the start of training camp. Khan talked a little about several current Steelers players on Tuesday so we run through what he had to say about WR Roman Wilson, RB Kaleb Johnson, TE Darnell Washington, TE Pat Freiermuth, ILB Patrick Queen, G Spencer Anderson, T Dylan Cook, CB James Pierre, CB Asante Samuel Jr., RB Kenneth Gainwell, S DeShon Elliott, OLB Nick Herbig, and several others. K Chris Boswell certainly could be a player the Steelers choose to sign to contract extension this offseason, so Alex and I discuss his market value on the heels of Dallas Cowboys K Brandon Aubrey also looking to rest the kicker market this offseason. Alex and I go over the latest free agent market value reports of Green Bay Packers QB Malik Willis in addition to what it might now take in trade compensation to acquire San Francisco 49ers QB Mac Jones. The Minnesota Vikings are reportedly looking to entertain trade offers for DT Javon Hargrave, according to a Tuesday report, so Alex and I go over that topic briefly and the chances of his returning to the Steelers this offseason. The Baltimore Ravens are now claiming a victory over the Steelers in 2025, so we go over that topic briefly in this show. In this Monday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the start of the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine this week. With Pittsburgh Steelers GM Omar Khan set to have his annual combine media sessions this week, Alex and I go over several questions we hope he gets asked during his multiple interviews while he is in Indianapolis, IN. As for the rest of things related to the NFL's annual scouting combine, Alex and I preview several things we will be looking for throughout this coming week. We go over several position groups and individual players we hope to learn more about throughout the week of the combine activities and interviews. Alex recently completed a draft profile on former North Dakota State QB Cole Payton, so we discuss his initial thoughts on that player ahead of the scouting combine getting underway this week. We also discuss a few other quarterbacks at this year's scouting combine that the Steelers could potentially study more thoroughly. With Steelers S DeShon Elliott coming off a significant injury he sustained during the 2025 season, Alex and I discuss his potential future with the team moving forward past the start of the 2026 league year in March. With Steelers RB Kenneth Gainwell being one of the team's top unrestricted free agents this offseason, Alex and I revisit his dollar value on the heels of the Dallas Cowboys re-signing RB Javonte Williams to a three-year, $24 million contract over the weekend. Later in this episode, Alex and I go over his recent post on the types of players the Steelers should be looking to add to their offseason roster and why. Is there any chance that S Minkah Fitzpatrick lands back with the Steelers this offseason? We address that question later in this show and under the assumption that the Miami Dolphins will ultimately cut Fitzpatrick. In this Friday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the recent passing of former Pittsburgh Steelers S Mike Wagner. We pay our respects to Wagner and discuss how underrated of a player he was for the Steelers during his career. Alex and I then go over the latest reports concerning the possible return of Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers for the 2026 season. We also discuss the possible paths the Steelers might take when it comes to the quarterback position for 2026 should Rodgers ultimately decide to not re-sign this offseason. Steelers HC Mike McCarthy did a Friday morning interview with a radio station in Green Bay, so Alex and I make sure to recap the notable things he had to say about Rodgers and the team's 2026 training camp. Is it plausible that the Steelers might select an offensive lineman in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft? Alex and I tackle that question and as part of that, we discuss Penn State G Olaivavega Ioane as a very plausible option for the Steelers at 21st overall in the 2026 NFL Draft. Alex and I discuss the possibility of the Steelers trading up in the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft to select Indiana WR Omar Cooper Jr. We also go over what we know so far about Alabama QB Ty Simpson on the heels of Daniel Jeremiah of the NFL Network discussing the quarterback during his Thursday conference call with the media. Jeremiah also had a few other notable answers to questions on Thursday that Alex and I quickly go over. Our Jeremiah Pike recently completed a study of wide receivers that McCarthy has drafted since being an NFL head coach and so Alex and I go over his findings. On the heels of Alex writing about Steelers ILB Payton Wilson this past week, we discuss his concerns and future heading into 2026, which will be his third NFL season. February 18, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 95 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the NFL Scouting Combine speaking schedule for Pittsburgh Steelers GM Omar Khan. On the heels of the Miami Dolphins making several early offseason cuts, Alex and I discuss if we think the Steelers should pursue any of the notable names on that list and that includes WR Tyreek Hill and G James Daniels. Former Steelers wide receivers coach Zach Azzanni is headed to the Las Vegas Raiders to couch their wide receivers, so Alex and I discuss that news in addition to former Steelers WR Robert Woods announcing his retirement from the NFL on Tuesday. The Athletic released their 150 top unrestricted free agent list for the offseason on Wednesday so Alex and I spend a lot of time on that subject. We go over the Steelers unrestricted free agents that made that list of 150 players and their early projected contract values for each. We also discuss several other soon-to-be unrestricted free agents on that top 150 list that the Steelers might ultimately have some offseason interest in. Alex and I discuss the value of CB James Pierre heading into free agency and if he deserves to be ranked in a top 150 list. Alex released his first official Steelers mock draft of the 2026 offseason since our last show, so we go over each of the 12 selections he has for Pittsburgh. We go over the biggest pushbacks that Alex has received for that first mock draft as well. Is former LSU QB Garrett Nussmeier easily the third-best quarterback in the 2026 draft class? Alex and I discuss his 2025 and 2024 seasons at LSU along with a few of his passing stats. February 16, 2025 - Season 16, Episode 94 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the plethora of roster cuts the Miami Dolphins appear set to make ahead of the start of the 2026 NFL year in March. We do wonder, however, if a few of the Miami reported forthcoming cuts might ultimately be designated for post June 1. Headlining these upcoming cuts the Dolphins will reportedly make are WR Tyreek, Hill, G James Daniels, EDGE Bradley Chubb, and WR Nick Westbrook-Ikhine. Throughout this Monday show, Alex and I address the probability and plausibility that the Pittsburgh Steelers will ultimately select at least one quarterback during the 2026 NFL Draft. We talk about what spending a 2026 draft pick on a quarterback might mean when it comes to veteran backup QB Mason Rudolph and especially if veteran QB Aaron Rodgers is ultimately re-signed. With the Steelers now installing Mike McCarthy as the team's new head coach, Alex and I revisit the team's extensive list of players that are scheduled to become free agents in March. We roll back through that lengthy list of players one-by-one and go over the likelihood of each ultimately being re-signed. As part of our 2026 free agent list rundown during this episode, Alex and I spend extra time discussing the potential futures in Pittsburgh of CB James Pierre, RB Kenneth Gainwell, CB Asante Samuel Jr., and G Isaac Seumalo. There were a few other minor news tidbits concerning the Steelers that surfaced over the weekend, so Alex and I make sure to go over all of those items that are worth mentioning. February 13, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 93 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the Pittsburgh Steelers announcing their full coaching staff for the 2026 season on Thursday. We go over the few new names that are included in that list of staff members, and we also have conversations on the overall size of the staff and much more related to that Thursday announcement by the team. Several current and former Steelers have now chimed in on the comments made by Joey Porter Sr. about Mike Tomlin and Ben Roethlisberger during his recent interview on the Cameron Heyward podcast, so we go over the latest related to that topic. Former NFL QB Derek Carr has made it known that he is open to a comeback in 2026 should the right opportunity present itself so Alex and I address what all he had to say recently and whether the quarterback could be a plausible and possible fit with the Steelers. The NFL has reportedly now informed all 32 teams in a memo that it prevailed in its grievance vs. the NFLPA and its “team report cards" after an arbitrator determined that the NFLPA’s conduct violated the CBA and ordered it to stop making public any future report cards. Alex and I both have opinions and reactions to that Friday breaking news. A judge ruled on Thursday in favor of Ole Miss QB Trinidad Chambliss still having a year of college eligibility remaining due to a medical hardship a few years ago, so Alex and I react to that news during this show. On the heels of my first 2026 salary cap update for the Steelers being posted on Thursday, Alex and I discuss everything related to that topic. We also discuss potential March salary cap casualties related to the Steelers in addition to other ways the team might decide to create additional space should they deem that necessary during the offseason. Later in this show, Alex and I discuss the probability and plausibility related to offseason contract extensions being signed by CB Joey Porter Jr., K Chris Boswell, OLB Nick Herbig, DT Keeanu Benton, and TE Darnell Washington. February 11, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 92 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the recent comments that Joey Porter Sr. made about Ben Roethlisberger and his team leadership to Cameron Heyward during an interview on the latest episode of the “Not Just Football" podcast. We also discuss what Heyward had to say about his recent animated gif tweet during the recent episode of his podcast that seemingly created quite a stir. With the recent drama-related news tied to the Pittsburgh Steelers talked about, Alex and I then go over the 2026 contract situation related to veteran DB Jalen Ramsey. We discuss how March 13 is a key date when it comes to Ramsey's 2026 future with the Steelers. We also discuss the variances in Ramsey’s expected 2026 salary cap charge. Alex and I also go over our thoughts on whether Ramsey is worth $19.5 million in cash in 2026 and whether the team should prorate his August option bonus amount of $7.4 million, assuming he remains under contract until then. In the middle of this Wednesday show, Alex and I are joined by our 2026 college all-star week attendees, Ross McCorkle, Joe Clark, Josh Carney, and Melanie Friedlander, for a roundtable session. The six of us have our annual roundtable discussion about what was observed from various draft prospects during the weeks of the Shrine Bowl and Senior Bowl. We discuss several different position groups and players during this roughly 70-minute discussion. If not already doing do, please make sure to follow Ross, Joe, Josh, and Melanie on Twitter/X at the provided account links. February 9, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 91 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing Super Bowl LX that concluded with the Seattle Seahawks easily beating the New England Patriots. We address how and why the Seahawks are now World Champions and the steps their organization made in the last three seasons in the draft that played a significant role in that. We look at the Patriots moving forward from their Super Bowl LX loss and whether they should look to move T Will Campbell to guard at this point. We also talk about the solid game that CB Christian Gonzalez played on Sunday night. Are there any made takeaways from the 2025 Seahawks that can be applied to the 2026 Pittsburgh Steelers that would provide any hope in the team making any sort of a Super Bowl run in 2026? In addition to attempting to answer that question, Alex and I take a look at the Steelers' initial odds for 2026 being a championship season for them. Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers and DT Cameron Heyward were both somewhat in the news cycle on Sunday. We discuss the national report concerning Rodgers' chances of returning to the Steelers in 2026 increasing and the very cryptic tweet that Heyward posted on Sunday that many seem to think hint about his playing future. Former Steelers WR George Pickens is now expected to be franchise tagged by the Dallas Cowboys this offseason, so Alex and I discuss that news. We also discuss what we each think Pickens' demands and market value should be this coming offseason. Alex recently completed a deep dive post on new Steelers OC Brian Angelichio, so we go over his main takeaways from that study. This 82-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted in the above recap and we make sure to read and answer a few emails we have received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. February 6, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 90 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the annual NFL Honors awards that took place on Thursday night. We talk about the 2026 Pro Football Hall of Fame class and how once again former Pittsburgh Steelers defensive lineman L.C. Greenwood failed to get into Canton. With former Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger becoming a candidate for the 2027 Pro Football Hall of Fame class, Alex and I discuss his chances of being a first-ballot selection as year from now. We also talk about how the late Craig Wolfley was left out of the annual NFL Honors' ‘in memoriam’ tribute on Thursday night and how sad that was to see happen. Since our Wednesday show, we now know a few more hires that the Steelers are making for their new coaching staff. Because of that, Alex and I go over the news related to Joe Whitt Jr., Derius Swinton II, Pat Reilly, Shawn Howe, and Eric Simonelli reportedly being hired by new HC Mike McCarthy. Alex recently talked to former Steelers WR Demarcus Ayers about new Steelers wide receivers coach Adam Henry, so we go over the main talking points from that interview. There's now even more news concerning the 2025 in-game altercation that Steelers WR DK Metcalf had with a Detroit Lions fan that we pass along during this show. With Super Bowl LX taking place on Sunday, Alex and I preview the big game and give our straight-up picks for the contest as well as against the spread that is listed on MyBookie.ag, a longtime show sponsor. Alex and I also go through and pick several Super Bowl LX props related to the weekend betting action at hand. Will the Steelers play in the Super Bowl in the next five years? What about in the next ten years? Alex and I address those two questions later in this show. Alex and I also discuss and comment on whether each of us would trade all of the 12 perceived picks the Steelers seem set to ultimately have in the 2026 NFL Draft to move up to select Indiana QB Fernando Mendoza first overall. This 106-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted in the above recap and we make sure to read and answer a few emails we have received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. February 4, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 89 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the seemingly decline in excitement and media coverage when it comes to Super Bowl LX. While only a handful of coaching staff hires has been made official by the team as of Wednesday morning, Alex and I discuss the reports that now indicate that Brian Angelichio will likely be the team's new offensive coordinator and Domata Peko the new defensive line coach. We also address the reported news that two staff interviewees, Scott Tolzien and Chase Haslett, are reportedly staying with the New Orleans Saints. Is there some sort of prior history between QB Aaron Rodgers and new coaching staff member Frank Cignetti Jr. that could result in the former not wanting to return to Pittsburgh in 2026? We attempt to answer that question/narrative that seems to now be making the rounds since our Monday show. Former Steelers running backs coach Eddie Faulkner is reportedly joining the coaching staff of the Baltimore Ravens, so we address that news. We also talk about the seemingly strong coaching staff that new Ravens HC Jesse Minter seems to be assembling. The NFLPA held their annual Super Bowl press conference on Tuesday, so Alex and I discuss a few main talking points that came out of that media session. We talk about the probability of an 18-game regular season in the NFL and how more emphasis on better playing surfaces in stadiums is likely to happen very soon. Steelers DT Cameron Heyward is making the rounds ahead of Super Bowl LX on radio row this week, so Alex and I go over a few comments he has made about his playing future. On Tuesday, we learned that Detroit Lions fan involved in a December altercation with Steelers WR DK Metcalf has brought a $100 million defamation lawsuit against the player, the organization, and others. With that news being fresh, Alex and I give our thoughts on that having any chance of succeeding. February 2, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 88 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the latest news from the weekend into the morning concerning the Pittsburgh Steelers and the coaching staff that is continuing to be assembled under new HC Mike McCarthy. While only of the coaching staff hires have been made official by the team, we have more potential hirings that appear certain at this point. Because of that, Alex and I discuss the latest news concerning the potential hirings of Frank Cignetti Jr., C.J. Ah You, Danny Crossman, Mark Lovat, Grant Thorne, and Steve Scarnecchia based on the latest reports on each. After first thinking that the Steelers would be retaining DB coach Gerald Alexander, the news broke over the weekend that he is joining the Minnesota Vikings. We discuss that news in addition to AGM Andy Weidl now possibly being a Vikings GM candidate later this offseason. Scott Tolzien will officially interview for the offensive coordinator job on Monday, so Alex and I cover that morning news as well. With all of the NFL head coaching vacancies now seemingly filled, Alex and I give our opinions and rankings of each hire and landing spot. We give our thoughts on where McCarthy should rank in this year's hiring cycle. A new Hall of Fame class will be announced later this week, so Alex and I go over the latest voting controversies. We also discuss Peter King admission that he made a mistake several years ago when it came to him not voting for former Steelers S Troy Polamalu back in 2020. Only one member of the Steelers, Ben Skowronek, is participating in the annual Pro Bowl games this year so with that, Alex and I discuss the future of that event and if there are ways to make it more appetizing to watch or care about. During this show, Alex and I discuss if the hype train concerning Steelers QB Will Howard needs to slow down quite a bit at this point of the offseason. We go over several questions we think NFL commissioner Roger Goodell should be asked during his annual pre-Super Bowl press conference, which should take place on Monday. January 30, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 87 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the latest news concerning the Pittsburgh Steelers and their rebuilt coaching staff that is being assembled under new HC Mike McCarthy. While none of the coaching staff hires have been made official by the team, several seem destined to happen at this point. Alex and I go over the news concerning the hirings or interviews of Lunda Wells, Scott Tolzien, Ramon Chinyoung, Adam Henry, James Campen, Jahri Evans, Jason Simmons, and Patrick Graham, who will reportedly be the team's new defensive coordinator. Alex and I also address the news that the Steelers will reportedly retain Tom Arth, Scott McCurley, and Gerald Alexander from the 2025 coaching staff. We move on to discuss the future of QB Aaron Rodgers related to numerous members of the reported new coaching staff in Pittsburgh. We also address the numerous links back to McCarthy when it comes to his perceived staff hirings as of Friday morning. With Graham set to become the Steelers’ new defensive coordinator, Alex and I do a deep dive into his coaching career. We talk a lot about his defensive roots, his schemes, his tendencies and much more. We go over his fit in Pittsburgh and his most recent job as the DC with the Las Vegas Raiders. The Steelers have a new wide receiver on their roster as of Thursday, so Alex and I quickly go over the signing of WR A. T. Perry and what traits he brings to Pittsburgh. Steelers AGM Andy Weidl did not get the general manager job with the Atlanta Falcons, so we discuss that bit of news during this show. McCarthy was a guest on WDVE Radio on Friday morning, so Alex and I discuss the main talking points that came out of that 15-minute interview. January 28, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 86 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the Pittsburgh Steelers introducing Mike McCarthy as the team's new head coach during a Tuesday press conference. Alex and I parse a lot of what McCarthy had to say during his Tuesday press conference. We discuss in-depth what McCarthy had to say about QB Aaron Rodgers possibly returning in 2026 in addition to his thoughts on second-year QB Will Howard as well. We discuss whether either of us are hoping for Rodgers to return in 2026. We discuss the expected/hoped for timeline when it comes to the Rodgers' decision for 2026. Not very many current Steelers players were present for the Tuesday McCarthy press conference, so Alex and I discuss that topic a little bit during this episode as well. With Chris Shula and Nate Scheelhaase both looking like they might not land head coaching jobs this offseason, and thus staying with the Los Angeles Rams, Alex and I discuss the way that looks when it comes to Steelers deciding to bypass on both for their head coach vacancy. It sounds like the Steelers won't lose AGM Andy Weidl to the Atlanta Falcons this offseason, so Alex and I discuss that new development that happened on Tuesday. During this show, the Cleveland Browns announced that Todd Monken will be their new head coach so obviously Alex and I discuss that breaking news. We also discuss how Browns DC Jim Schwartz might not take too kindly of him being passed over for the position. Former New England Patriots HC Bill Belichick won't be a first-ballot Hall of Famer this year, so Alex and I discuss his snubbing. We also discuss how the Belichick news might further help the late L.C. Greenwood when it comes to his chances of finally getting into the Hall of Fame this year. As of Wednesday morning, we know several Steelers' candidates that are being interviewed for coaching staff spots, so we bring everyone up to date on that list of people. Later in this show, Alex and I pass along the breaking news of Adam Henry being hired by the Steelers to be the team's new wide receivers coach. January 26, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 85 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing Super Bowl LX now being set with the New England Patriots facing the Seattle Seahawks. Steelers Team President Art Rooney II talked to Bob Labriola over the weekend about the hiring of Mike McCarthy to be the team's new head coach, so Alex and I make sure to parse all of his comments on the subject. Alex and I also discuss the Steelers' process of hiring a new head coach and whether or not it was McCarthy's job to have the moment that Mike Tomlin decided to resign. Alex and I discuss the development of the next franchise quarterback being the primary focus now and whether we'll see QB Aaron Rodgers back in Pittsburgh in 2026. We discuss whether the Steelers could possibly look at acquiring a quarterback such as Mac Jones or Malik Willis by this year’s draft in hopes of turning either into the NFL's next Sam Darnold. Former Steelers OC Arthur Smith will be the next offensive coordinator for Ohio State so that bit of news gets our attention during this show. Alex and I also further discuss what the Steelers rebuilt coaching staff could look like with McCarthy now installed as the team's new head coach. Later in this Monday show, Alex and I discuss whether McCarthy should be considered the top head coach in the AFC North division at this point and even with the Cleveland Browns yet to hire their next head coach. January 24, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 84 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Saturday afternoon emergency podcast, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the Pittsburgh Steelers deciding on Saturday that Mike McCarthy will be the team’s new head coach. Alex and I provide our initial reactions to McCarthy being the Steelers’ choice as their next head coach and why he was likely given the job. We go over the many connections that McCarthy has not only to Pittsburgh, but to members of the Steelers front office as well. With McCarthy the Steelers new head coach, will veteran QB Aaron Rodgers now return for the 2026 season? Should the Steelers even want him to return? Alex and I address those questions and more regarding the connection between McCarthy and Rodgers and potentially the latter playing one more season in Pittsburgh. With McCarthy now the team’s new head coach, Alex and I try to connect several logical dots when it comes to candidates to be on the Steelers coaching staff. We go over a few offensive and defensive coaching staff additions we could see and discuss a few current members of the coaching staff that might be retained with McCarthy now the head coach. Alex and I discuss the Steelers failing to bring in Chris Shula and/or Nate Scheelhaase for in-person interviews at this point. Alex and I discuss the Baltimore Ravens hiring Jesse Minter as their new head coach. We also discuss Miami Dolphins DC Anthony Weaver having an in-person meeting with the Steelers on Friday. We also talk about DC Brian Flores signing a contract extension with the Minnesota Vikings and what it is likely to mean or not mean. Brian Baldinger said on Thursday that he thinks the Steelers might be interested in Miami Hurricanes HC Mario Cristobal. We discuss his report on that topic during this show. We also go over the fact that the Steelers are seemingly now down to five final candidates for their head coach job, pending any other late interviews happening. Alex and I go over the situations and rules related to the Steelers possibly having any interest in any members on the staffs of the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos during this show. The Steelers signed another player to a Reserve/Future contract on Thursday, so we make sure to recap that transaction. Should a potential duo of Mike Shula as Steelers head coach and Nate Scheelhaase as offensive coordinator be a concern to fans when it comes to potentially having the latter of the two robbed from the team in the next years? Alex and I discuss that question due to social media concern related to that topic. In the middle of this show, Alex and I discuss the future of Steelers DB Jalen Ramsey in 2026. We go over his contract, his current salary cap charge, and the decisions the Steelers will need to make concerning Ramsey's roster and option bonuses in his contract. The NFL will play their Conference Championship games on Sunday, so ahead of those two games taking place, Alex and I pick the two contests against the spreads that are listed on MyBookie.ag, a longtime sponsor of our podcast. Lastly, Alex and I go over the several emails responses we have received from listeners of the show related to the four quarterback questions we asked late during the Wednesday show. There were a ton of emails to read and while we hit a lot of them, we were unfortunately unable to get to all of them. In this Wednesday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the morning press conference that the Buffalo Bills ownership and front office conducted and some of the jaw-dropping comments that we could not ignore. Steelers assistant general manager Andy Weidl will reportedly interview with the Atlanta Falcons for their general manager position, so Alex and I make sure to hit on that news early in this show. The Steelers have signed a few more free agent players to Reserve/Future contracts since our last episode, so Alex and I run through that list. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have now hired former Steelers STC Danny Smith, so we make sure to give that bit of news some attention. We also discuss the possibility of S Miles Killebrew following Smith to Tampa Bay this coming offseason with him scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent in March. With the Steelers’ search for a new head coach now entering its second week, Alex and I discuss the latest concerning that topic. We go over the in-person meeting scheduled for this week with head coach candidates and whether the list of new prospects will grow any this week. Former Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger released a new episode of his podcast on Tuesday and that show produced several talking points. We go over Roethlisberger’s support for Mike McCarthy to be the Steelers’ next head coach and his thoughts on how he thinks the Steelers should handle their quarterback position in 2026 and possibly even 2027. Alex and I have a lengthy discussion about McCarthy potentially being the Steelers next head coach and the pros and cons related to that. We discuss McCarthy’s age, how much longer he would likely coach, and whether either of us would be happy if he ultimately gets the job. With Roethlisberger talking about the future of the quarterback position during his recent podcast episode, Alex and I discuss the possibility of QB Will Howard being the starter in Pittsburgh in 2026. We also discuss the possibility of the Steelers taking a hard look at Green Bay Packers QB Malik Willis in free agency this offseason. I make my thoughts known on Howard ultimately being the quarterback the Steelers decide to roll with for at least the 2026 season. Steelers DT Cameron Heyward addressed the departure of HC Mike Tomlin during his recent podcast episode, so Alex and I make sure to recap things he said on that topic. January 19, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 81 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right back into discussing the breaking news of the Buffalo Bills firing HC Sean McDermott following the team's loss on Saturday to the Denver Broncos in one of the four Divisional Round playoff games that took place over the weekend. We discuss the impact of the Bills open head coaching job on the Pittsburgh Steelers and how there are now eight openings around the NFL following the New York Giants and Atlanta Falcons hiring John Harbaugh and Kevin Stefanski, respectively, over the weekend. We also discuss the possibility of McDermott receiving an interview with the Steelers. The Steelers will reportedly interview Mike McCarthy for their head coach job as of this past weekend, so Alex and I discuss that news. We discuss whether McCarthy is a serious candidate to become the next head coach of the Steelers and if either of us are a fan of such a potential hire. Dolphins DC Anthony Weaver is one of several head coach candidates of the Steelers at this stage of the process and with him now set for an in-person interview, Alex and I discuss him more thoroughly during this show. Could Weaver be the leading under-the-radar potential hire for the Steelers at this point? We discuss everything related to his candidacy during this show. Alex and I breakdown and update the latest news and dates related to the Steelers ongoing head coach search during this show. We also discuss the interest that several of the Steelers head coach candidates reportedly have from other NFL teams. The Steelers’ list of players signed to Reserve/Future contracts grew over the weekend, so Alex and I make sure to update that news related to recent transactions made by the team. With the Divisional Round of the 2025-2026 playoffs now in the books, Alex and I go over our main takeaways from the four games that took place over the weekend. We discuss the four quarterbacks and four head coaches that remain alive in the playoffs. We also discuss the quick turnaround made by three of the remaining playoff teams as it relates to future optimism for the Steelers. Steelers OC Arthur Smith continues to get interviews with other teams, so Alex and I discuss the up-to-date news related to him. Throughout this show, Alex and I mix in other nuggets and tidbits when it comes to linking head coach candidates to the Steelers. We also look back at the compact list of head coach interviews the Steelers had in 2007, the last time they were looking to fill the position. This 93-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted above and we close things out by answering a few emails we have received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. January 16, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 80 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday afternoon episode, Alex Kozora and I get right back into discussing everything related to the Pittsburgh Steelers continuing to search for their next head coach. The Steelers have signed several players to Reserve/Future contracts since our last show, so Alex and I make sure to catch listeners up on all of the recent transactions made by the team. The Steelers will reportedly allow all coaches currently under contract with the team to interview for other jobs, so Alex and I discuss that news. We also go over the brief list of current coaches under contract that at least have a small chance of being retained once a new head coach is hired. Three more head coach candidates now have interviews set with the Steelers since our last show so that means Alex and I must discuss Klay Kubiak, Ejiro Evero, and Jeff Hafley being added to the list, which now sits at eight in total. Alex wrote a detailed post on Friday on why Hafley is his favorite choice to be the Steelers new head coach, so we go through a lot of his thoughts on that. We also go over reasons why Hafley might not be the perfect choice to succeed Mike Tomlin. Alex and I talk a little bit about my favorite candidate at this point to be the Steelers new head coach, Chris Shula. We also discuss a few other candidates that might get interviews in the coming days. A few of the candidates have interesting links to certain players, both currently on the Steelers and on other teams, so there are some conversations to be had concerning that topic. With a lot of readers and listeners having questions about Steelers OLB T.J. Watt and whether he might be tradeable this offseason, Alex and I dive into his current contract situation, the financials related to his salary and possible dead money, and the probability related to him being dealt before the 2026 NFL Draft gets underway in late April. Later in this episode the news breaks that special teams coordinator Danny Smith is interviewing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, so we make sure to hit on that item. Alex and I then give our picks against the spread for the four NFL Divisional round playoff games that will take place this weekend based on the betting lines provided by show sponsor MyBookie.ag. In this Wednesday afternoon episode, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing everything that Pittsburgh Steelers team president Art Rooney II had to say during his afternoon press conference. We discuss what Rooney said about former HC Mike Tomlin deciding to step down on Tuesday and what the immediate future seems to hold for him. We also discuss the possibility of the Steelers trading Tomlin at some point. We also go over what Rooney said about the search for a new Steelers head coach, and everything related to what he might be looking for as part of said search. Alex and I go over some things related to head coach candidates and the side of the football they specialize in as it relates to the Steelers head coach search. During this show, Oregon QB Dante Moore officially announced that he is returning to college for another year, so Alex and I discuss that news. We also discuss what that means to the 2026 draft class right now. Throughout this show we receive the news that the Steelers have already requested five interviews with head coach candidates. We go over each of them, Nate Scheelhaase, Chris Shula, Anthony Weaver, Brian Flores, and Jesse Minter. Alex and I also go over several other head coach candidates for Steelers that are quite easy to link the team to. We talk about young and old candidates, retreads, and even a few current college head coaches throughout this show. The Steelers are starting to sign a few players to Reserve/Future contracts, so Alex and I update that current list as well. January 13, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 78 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Tuesday afternoon emergency episode, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing Mike Tomlin deciding to step down as head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers just one day after the team lost to the Houston Texans in Monday night Wild Card playoff game. Alex and I go over the statements that Tomlin and Steelers team president Art Rooney II released on Tuesday. We also discuss Tomlin's remaining year on his contract and how that presumably means the Steelers still retain his rights until at least through the 2026 season. We discuss what Tomlin might do next and whether he will indeed go into television for at least the next year. Will the Steelers now make wholesale changes to their coaching staff with a new incoming head coach? Does Tomlin stepping down on Tuesday mean that QB Aaron Rodgers definitely won't be back in 2026? We address those two questions and several others during this emergency podcast. As you would expect, Alex and I look at several potential candidates the Steelers are likely to consider to be their next head coach. We also discuss if the Steelers head coach position is a desirable one right now. Later in this show, Alex and discuss how Tomlin will be best remembered during his time as the Steelers head coach. We also look ahead at the various ways the Steelers do things might change with a new head coach coming in. January 13, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 77 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Tuesday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Monday night loss to the Houston Texans in the Wild Card round of the playoffs. After initial thoughts on the Monday night loss, Alex and I quickly go over the transactions the team made on Monday and the inactive list that was released prior to kickoff against the Texans. Alex and I get right into the Steelers' disgusting Monday night loss to the Texans and that starts with us reviewing the play of the team's offense. We talk about how the offense failed in numerous statistical categories and how the play of QB Aaron Rodgers was extremely poor. We discuss the key drop by WR DK Metcalf in the first half and how TE Pat Freiermuth wasnt targeted until the fourth quarter. The Steelers did not have much of a running game to speak of on Monday night and their deep passing game was also non-existent. We discuss the red zone failures, inability to stay out of manageable third down distances and much more. The Steelers offense only managing three points off of three defensive takeaways is also highlighted. We finally go over the play of the Steelers defense and how that unit struggled despite getting three takeaways. We talk about the Texans running game being incredibly good and the big game that WR Christian Kirk had. The Steelers third down defense wasnt nearly good enough and the unit also allowed four explosive plays during the game that were killers. After fully breaking down the offensive and defensive play from Monday night, Alex and I get into discussing the future of HC Mike Tomlin and QB Aaron Rodgers moving into the offseason. We also discuss whether there is any real optimism right now when it comes to the 2026 Steelers. Later in this show, Alex and I discuss the lengthy list of Steelers players that are set to become unrestricted free agents in March. This 114-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted above, a ton of stats, and we end this episode by answering several emails we received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. In our weekly housekeeping portion of this show, which is sponsored by the fine folks at TouringPlans.com, Alex and I talk about the Steelers' latest injury report, which was released on Saturday afternoon. We discuss how we'll be watching closely on Monday whether the team makes any elevations and if so, how any of those could impact the pregame inactive list later in the evening. The Steelers opened the 21-day practice window on DT Isaiahh Loudermilk a few days ago so that nugget also gets our attention early in this show. The All-Pro designations came in on Saturday morning and so Alex and I discuss Steelers DT Cameron Heyward earning Second-Team honors for the 2025 season. We also go over all of the votes that other players from the Steelers received from the All-Pro voters this year. Wild Card weekend included a lot of great games on Saturday and Sunday, so Alex and I go over what transpired in the five contests that have now been completed. We also discuss the fact that the Steelers will play the New England Patriots on the road next Sunday in a Divisional Round playoff game should they beat the Texans on Monday night. With no beat writer from the Texans to talk to on this Monday, Alex and I provide our own preview of the Steelers-Texans game. We break down what we are looking for out of each team on both sides of the football. We start by talking about the Texans' offense and then move on to discussing their great defense. We go over what we think the Steelers need to do on offense, defense, and special teams on Monday night to beat the Texans. Alex and I then give our picks for Steelers-Texans based on the line provided by show sponsor MyBookie.ag. Alex and I discuss the recent practice squad move made by the Steelers in addition to the team's injury report that was released on Thursday. We also go over the injury situation with the Texans as of Thursday. Steelers OC Arthur Smith will interview with the Tennessee Titans for their open head coaching job, so Alex and I make sure to address that news thoroughly. Is Smith prime head coach material right now? Will he ultimately land a second head coaching job this offseason? We attempt to answer those questions in this show. We also address some potential successors to Smith should he wind out being hired away from the Steelers this offseason. Might Steelers S DeShon Elliott be able to return from his injury should the team advance deeper into the playoffs? We go over the possibility of that happening and the latest Instagram post made by Elliott. How important is Steelers QB Aaron Rosdgers to the team heading into the playoffs and how much of an advantage will he having played the Texans last season as a member of the New York Jets matter come Monday night? We address that question and go over a few things Rodgers said on Thursday to the media. On Thursday, we once again heard from two of the Steelers' coordinators, Arthur Smith and Teryl Austin, so Alex and I recap the main talking points to come out of those media sessions. There's not a lot to chew on from those two once again this week, but we tackle the most notable comments from both, ahead of the Monday night game against the Texans. Steelers HC Mike Tomlin was on The Rich Eisen Show on Wednesday, so Alex and I go over the key things he had to say during that interview. Alex and I then give our picks against the spread for all of the NFL Wild Card NFL games provided by show sponsor MyBookie.ag. January 7, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 74 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right into talking about the Baltimore Ravens firing HC John Harbaugh on Tuesday and all of the fallout and related items associated with that move. We discuss candidates to succeed Harbaugh in Baltimore and much more. We also discuss whether Harbaugh's firing has any impact on the Steelers quickly deciding to move on from HC Mike Tomlin, should he lose in the Monday Wild Card game. After quite a bit of head coaching talk from around the NFL, Alex and I talk quite a bit about Steelers K Chris Boswell and his failed extra point attempt late in the Week 18 game against the Ravens. Specifically, we discuss that miss by Boswell being in the books as a blocked kick and whether the tape shows any conclusiveness to that being the case. We also discuss the confusion related to the initial official scoring related to the Boswell failed extra point attempt. Former Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger made an interesting statement on his Tuesday podcast regarding a recent conversion that he had with Boswell, so we make sure to discuss that briefly. The Steelers made a practice squad move on Tuesday, so Alex and I make sure to cover that transaction early in this show. We also discuss the Steelers roster officially being at 52 players as of Wednesday morning. Steelers HC Mike Tomlin held his weekly press conference on Tuesday and as usual, Alex and I parse all of the notable things that he had to say to the media. We discuss his comments on the team's health heading into Super Wild Card week. We discuss how healthy the team is right now and the possibility of a few players having their 21-day practice windows opened on Thursday. Tomlin talked about special teams play on Tuesday, so Alex and I discuss that topic on the heels of the team's Week 18 win against the Ravens. We also go over what Tomlin had to say about the play of DT Keeanu Benton and DT Cameron Heyward against the Ravens. We make sure to cover Tomlin's comments on the team starting faster as well as what he had to say about the return from suspension of WR DK Metcalf. Alex and I begin our weekly recap of the All-22 tape of the Steelers’ last game, the Sunday night home win against the Ravens. We start on the defensive side of the football and spend a lot of time discussing the play of several individual players. After thoroughly discussing the defensive tape from Week 18, Alex and I then do the same when it comes to the offensive side of the football. The 2025 All-Pro selections should come out on Friday, so ahead of that, Alex and I go over the list of Steelers players likely to receive votes. January 5, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 73 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right into our overarching thoughts on the Pittsburgh Steelers' Week 18 home win against the Baltimore Ravens, resulting in the team capturing the AFC North title. We go over what an exciting game it was and how the two oldest players on the field, QB Aaron Rodgers and DT Cameron Heyward, played a big part in the victory. Alex and I talk about how divine intervention possibly played a part in the Sunday win thanks to the pregame actions of a priest with some holy water. In our weekly housekeeping portion of this show, which is sponsored by the fine folks at TouringPlans.com, Alex and I talk about the Steelers' Sunday night inactive list and the transaction the team made on Saturday afternoon. RB Kenneth Gainwell was voted team MVP on Friday, so Alex and I discuss that bit of news. After going through the newsy items related to Saturday and Sunday, Alex and I look at what all transpired at Acrisure Stadium against the Ravens. We first talk about the Steelers' offense and how that side of the ball really got it going late in the first half. We discuss the failed fourth and goal play to close out the first half. The running game finally came alive late in the first half, and the passing game really followed suit in the second half. We discuss several big plays made by Pittsburgh's offense throughout the game and the contributions made in the contest by WR Calvin Austin III and TE Pat Freiermuth. We discuss how good the Steelers offense was on third downs against the Ravens. After a lengthy discussion about the Steelers' offense, Alex and I do the same with their defense. We discuss the way that unit shut down Ravens RB Derrick Henry in the second half. We also discuss the three explosive play touchdowns that Ravens QB Lamar Jackson delivered in the game. OLB T.J. Watt returned from his recent lung issue Sunday night, so we discuss the impact that he had on the win over the Ravens. The play of several individual Steelers defensive players, along with their respective snap counts, is discussed in the second half of the show. Obviously, the missed field goal by the Ravens to end the game is discussed and we make sure to go over the play of the Steelers’ special teams’ units on Sunday night. The Steelers will get WR DK Metcalf back for their Wild Card game against the Houston Texans next Monday night, so we make sure to highlight that. Alex and I make sure to mix in quite a few stats and tidbits throughout this show. January 2, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 72 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers as they prepare to play the Baltimore Ravens at home on Sunday night for the AFC North title and a spot in the playoffs. We open this show by going over the latest injury report for the Steelers that was released on Thursday afternoon. We discuss how we'll be watching closely the game-status given on Friday to OLB T.J. Watt, who has been sidelined with a lung issue the last few weeks. We also discuss how important it might be to have G Isaac Seumalo back from his triceps injury on Sunday night. The Ravens have a few players on their Week 18 injury report that we will be monitoring on Friday, so we quickly go over who they are ahead of Friday's practice. We also discuss QB Lamar Jackson deeming himself healthy enough to play on Sunday night against the Steelers. Alex and I move forward in this show by looking at the Steelers’ most recent transactions that were made this week. We also discuss the possibility of the team not needing to make any elevations from their practice squad on Saturday. On Thursday, we once again heard from two of the Steelers' coordinators, Arthur Smith and Teryl Austin, so Alex and I recap the main talking points to come out of those media sessions. There's truly little to chew on from those two once again this week, but we tackle the most notable comments from both ahead of the Sunday night game against the Ravens. We welcome Jonas Shaffer of The Baltimore Banner back to the show on Friday, and he helps us preview the Steelers-Ravens game. Shaffer has covered the Ravens for many seasons, and he certainly knows that team inside and out. We get his thoughts on several things related to the Sunday night game in Pittsburgh and his thoughts on the future of Jackson and Ravens HC John Harbaugh moving past the 2025 season. If not already doing so, make sure to follow Jonas on X/Twitter at @jonas_shaffer and make sure to read his work here: https://www.thebanner.com/author/jonas-shaffer/. After finishing with Shaffer, Alex and I provide our own preview of the Steelers-Ravens game. We break down what we are looking for out of each team on both sides of the football Sunday night. Alex and I go over a few wrinkles we would like to see from the Steelers on offense on Sunday night and that includes the unit possibly having seven offensive linemen on the field at the same time a few times during that contest. We also discuss the possibility of us seeing RB Jaylen Warren and Kenneth Gainwell both on the field at the same time a few times against the Ravens. The Steelers defense will have a chore when it comes to stopping Ravens RB Derrick Henry on Sunday night so that topic gets a lot of our attention. We also discuss whether we'll see the Ravens defense play a lot of man-coverage on Sunday night in Pittsburgh against Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers, much like they did in Baltimore back in Week 14. Alex and I then give our picks against the spread for all of the Week 18 NFL games provided by show sponsor MyBookie.ag. We also give our final score predictions for the Steelers-Ravens game. December 31, 2025 - Season 16, Episode 71 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right into talking about the latest news concerning Pittsburgh Steelers as they start preparing for their Week 18 home game against the Baltimore Ravens. The Steelers have made a few practice squad moves so far this week so we go over those transactions and what they might mean for a few players looking to return this week from injuries such as CB Brandin Echols (groin) and CB James Pierre (calf). Steelers HC Mike Tomlin held his weekly press conference on Tuesday and as usual, Alex and I parse all of the notable things that he had to say to the media. We discuss his comments on the health of the team heading into Week 18. We go over TE Darnell Washington (arm) being ruled out for this week and the possibility of him being placed on the Reserve/Injured list before Sunday's kickoff. We also discuss what Tomlin had to say about the possible return this week from injuries of OLB T.J. Watt (lung), G Isaac Seumalo, and WR Calvin Austin III (hamstring). Tomlin talked about the limited usage of WR Roman Wilson in Week 17, so we discuss his answer on that topic. We also talk about what Tomlin had to say about the usage of TE Pat Freiermuth and TE Jonnu Smith, both in Week 17 and moving forward into the regular season finale against the Ravens. Former Steelers WR Hines Ward once again failed to be named a Pro Football Hall of Fame finalists this past week, so Alex and I discuss that news. We go over what might be needed moving forward to at least see Ward named a finalist in the coming years. Alex and I begin our weekly recap of the All-22 tape of the Steelers’ last game, the Sunday afternoon road win against the Cleveland Browns. We start on the offensive side of the football and spend a lot of time discussing the play of several individual players. We review, in detail, the play of QB Aaron Rodgers and WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling against the Browns. We also make sure to focus tighter on the final three offensive possessions the Steelers had against Cleveland. After thoroughly discussing the offensive tape from Week 17, Alex and I then do the same when it comes to the defensive side of the football. We discuss the Steelers defense having a good game overall after a shaky start in the contest, which resulted in the Browns jumping out to a 10-0 lead. We go over a few missed plays on defense and how that unit ultimately did enough to help the team win in Cleveland. This 112-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted and we wrap things up by answering several emails we received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. December 29, 2025 - Season 16, Episode 70 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right into our overarching thoughts on the Pittsburgh Steelers' Week 17 road loss to the Cleveland Browns and what a disappointment that game was. We also set the stage for the Steelers Week 18 home game against the Baltimore Ravens for all of the AFC North marbles. Early in this show, Alex and I go over the last four plays of the Steelers Sunday loss to the Browns as they attempted to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. In our weekly housekeeping portion of this show, which is sponsored by the fine folks at TouringPlans.com, Alex and I talk about the Steelers' Sunday inactive list and the players who missed the contest due to injuries. We also talk about the transactions that the team made on Saturday afternoon. Alex and I discuss RB Kaleb Johnson being a healthy scratch once again on Sunday. The Steelers sustained another key injury on Sunday. The key player that was lost during the game against the Browns was TE Darnell Washington, who reportedly sustained a broken left arm in the first half. We discuss what his loss means moving forward into Week 18. After going through the newsy items related to Saturday and Sunday, Alex and I look at what all transpired at Huntington Bank Field against the Browns. We first talk about the Steelers' offense and that unit failed miserably in situational football, third downs, fourth downs, and inside the red zone. We also discuss the offensive game plan on Sunday when it comes to the handling of Browns DE Myles Garrett. Alex and I look at the national and local narrative concerning the Steelers’ main focus being to prevent Garrett from getting the sack record as the team's main focus, instead of trying to win the game. Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers made several questionable decisions on Sunday, so we go over those. We also talk about the quality of the running game and the overall play of the offensive line against the Browns. We also discuss WR Roman Wilson playing just nine offensive snaps against the Browns and not registering any targets. After a lengthy discussion about the Steelers' offense, Alex and I do the same with their defense. We discuss that unit getting off to a relatively poor start against the Browns offense but getting much better in the second quarter and on. We discuss the touchdown allowed by S Kyle Dugger, the two interceptions the defense had, and the almost interception by OLB Nick Herbig. We highlight the play of OLB Alex Highsmith, DT Cameron Heyward and S Jalen Ramsey as positives on Sunday. For all practical purposes, the Steelers’ defense did more than enough to help the team win on Sunday, so we make sure to drive that point home. Finally, Alex and I give some thoughts on special teams play from Sunday. We discuss the miss by K Chris Boswell, the effort by P Corliss Waitman, and all of the kick and punt units. After discussing Sunday's game in detail, Alex and I talk about the latest news concerning suspended WR DK Metcalf. We discuss the latest concerning his contract and future guarantees in addition to the Sunday report concerning his previous experience with the troubling fan that he had an altercation with in Week 16 and in Detroit. After discussing Metcalf's incident, Alex and I take a tiny look ahead at the Steelers week 18 home game against the Ravens and whether either of us have much optimism when it comes to the home team winning that game and thus getting into the playoffs as the AFC North champions. This 101-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted and we wrap things up by answering several emails we received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices.
