Were counting down the days until The Testaments finale and we've been speculating about having a live event to mark the end of the season and kick off a new phase of the podcast. We’re curious, would you be into joining us? We don't have firm plans in place yet, but... if hanging out in person, hearing the show live, and maybe getting involved sounds like your kind of thing, we’d love to hear from you. If you’re interested, in Sydney or could get here with sufficient notice, drop us an email via [email protected]. There's no commitment, but it would help with planning. If you drop us a line, we'll make sure you're the first to know about it if/when we make it happen. Thanks, from Sana, Haidee, Natalie and Fiona Hosted on Acast. Plus: with fans full of theories about Aunt Vidala, we put one of the biggest questions directly to Mabel — what was she thinking in that Episode 1 moment? You’ll have to listen to find out. Who’s got questions about The Testaments? We do! We take them to the top as The Testaments Showrunner Bruce Miller joins Fiona to discuss the major characters and plot twists of The Handmaid’s Tale spinoff so far. (Contains spoilers about the first three episodes of The Testaments, obviously). Bruce, a friend of the show, and frequent guest on our previous podcast, #eyesongilead, answers these questions and more: Is Daisy who we think she is? (and if so, how?); What major departures can we expect from the Margaret Atwood novel? And speaking of books, did June Osborne ever 'write' hers? Welcome to Eyes on Screen, a new podcast from the team behind Eyes on Gilead, the award winning The Handmaid’s Tale companion podcast, known for its deep dives, sharp observations and (occasionally) getting a bit carried away. Hosted by Fiona Williams, Sana Qadar, Haidee Ireland and Natalie Hambly, this is a new independent show, and the next chapter from the same team you’ve been listening to all along. We’ve had plenty of messages from Eyes on Gilead listeners asking if we’d get the band back together, and that has only grown as The Testaments premiere date has approached. We heard you.The answer is yes. How could we not? Just… not quite in the way you might expect. This is the next chapter of what we’ve been doing for a while now: watching TV closely, paying attention to the details, and talking through the moments that stick. It’s familiar, in that same spirit of deep-dive conversation… but it’s also its own thing. A bit broader, a bit freer, and very much its own space as we follow The Testaments week by week, and expand that approach to other TV series and movies that have caught our attention. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
