We just wrapped our Love Island USA watch party and boy do we have thoughts! We gathered our group straight to the mics to first discuss the unnecessary amount of French kissing that lasted throughout the entire episode. And then there were those uncomfortable sex questions, the constant doors, the bombshell additions and the silly, highly produced opening to start season 8 off with a bang. Jenny Mollen is doing damage control following a controversial post showing her intertwined with her 12-year-old son on the bed, with her in-between his legs; the original caption saying the “eldest son is the most toxic relationship of your life.” While Mollen took the caption down, her essay she posted days ago is making headlines as well. Mollen is in the middle of divorcing actor Jason Biggs of “American Pie” fame and penned an essay with the first line reading: “Call me old-fashioned, but I only want my sons to marry women with dead mothers” and ending with “I pray that at least one of them is gay.” See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

We saw both “Backrooms” and “Obsession” over the past two weekends and were blown away by the not only the movies themselves, but by just how many other people turned out to see them. “Obsession” continues to rise in its third week, a never before seen phenomenon. While “Backrooms” blew away the competition, bringing in a record breaking box office number by the youngest director in movie history. Both films cost very little to make, and are likely to change the way we make movies going forward. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

It’s a heinous story that shocked the New York community, 34-year-old Erin Merdy drowned her 7, 4 and 3 month old children in the Atlantic Ocean. President Trump may soon be on a brand new $250 dollar bill, all in honor of our nation’s 250th anniversary. The issue with this plan, it’s against federal law. The Associated Press is reporting that FBI Director Kash Patel took a VIP snorkel tour of Pearl Harbor while on a “work” trip with a second “layover” in Hawaii. One of the most anticipated films of the year, “Michael” hits theaters this weekend and previews are already showing a record number of people filling theaters for a musical biopic. The reviews, however, have not been kind to the film. The biggest issue, that the movie is basically an extended music video of Jackson’s early hits and completely sidesteps the allegations and charges of child sexual abuse that plagued the singer for decades. There’s an explanation for that omission and a heavy hint that there’s more to come in a potential sequel. The question is whether the film is too much of a fairy tale, complete with a happily ever after ending… a question that has even divided members of Jackson’s own family.
