This Easter, we celebrate the greatest miracle of all — forgiveness of sin through Jesus. In Matthew 9, a group of friends does whatever it takes to get a hurting man to Jesus, believing He can change everything. What the man needed most wasn’t physical healing — it was forgiveness. Jesus shows us that our greatest need is not self-improvement but a Savior. Because of His life, death and resurrection, we are forgiven, free from shame and made new. Storms are inevitable, but fear doesn’t have to be. In Matthew 8, Jesus reminds us that following Him will cost us everything — but He is faithful through it all. In Matthew 6, Jesus warns us to beware of practicing our righteousness to be seen by others, reminding us that with God it’s not just what we do—it’s why we do it.  Giving, praying, and fasting can either be acts of worship or subtle performances for applause, and while we all know we must repent of our wretchedness, Jesus confronts us with the deeper need to repent of religious righteousness rooted in image instead of intimacy. We should leverage everything God has given us, time, talent and treasure, all for His glory and invest in forever instead of storing up treasures on Earth. It will require us to sacrifice time, comfort, resources, certainty and other “life as usual” things to invest in eternal things that never fade. One of the most important things that the gospel compels us to is generosity. Jesus did not withhold generosity at the cross and we respond by not withholding from Him. The love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. James 5:1-6

What are you doing with your one and only life? Are you leveraging it for eternity or wasting it on the temporary?

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Draw near to this world and it will betray you.

The reason you fight is because you don’t get what you want. The real problem is what you really want can only be found in Christ.

Comparison kills. When you see yourself the way God sees you, then His love for you will be more than enough.

Out of the overflow of the mouth, the heart speaks. Does your mouth reveal that you need heart surgery?

When you have been run over by the grace train of the gospel of Jesus Christ, it changes everything about you, especially the way you live your life. Works are the fruit of the changed life; the gospel is the root.

Every man, woman and child is an image-bearer of our great and glorious God and deserve to be treated that way. 

God did not give you all you have so you could have all you want, but so others could have all they need. 

Intentions are useless. Being a follower of Jesus means that you take the next step of obedience in the direction where He is calling you.

Outbursts of anger reveal a serious heart condition. Does the peace of Christ rule your heart? Or is your anger ruling your life?

Following Jesus is so much more than right or wrong; it is life or death.

God uses the trials in our life like a hammer and chisel to take away everything in us that doesn’t look like Jesus.  

The Spirit of God in you is greater than the circumstances around you. This world has trouble. God offers peace that transcends understanding.

The Son of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings. His name is Jesus. Do you need healing? Do you have faith?

The heart of worship is gratitude for who Jesus is and what He has done for us. 

You don’t have to do the things you used to do because you are not the person that you used to be. The old you is dead. The new you is alive in Christ.

What do you do with doubts and unanswered questions? You pick them up and follow Jesus. He is the only one offering eternal life.  “Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life”” – John 6:68

Do you want to be healed? Your past does not have to define your future. In Christ, your past pain can be a platform for God’s glory.

One of the best ways to DEEPEN your relationship with Jesus is to help others DISCOVER theirs.

God takes what is filthy and does not just make it better; He makes it into a new creation. Have you been made new? 

Do you Believe? By believing that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, you may have life in His name. 

You want PEACE? You want true CONTENTMENT regardless of the circumstances? You want a JOY that you can’t lose? Then hear and heed the invitation of Jesus:  28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” – Jesus (Matthew 11:28-30)

Are you anxious? Stop. Pray. Focus on Godly things.

Sanctification is the transforming of our lowly bodies over time to be like Jesus. 

The only paperwork that matters on the day of judgment is not your resume, but Christ's invitation.

Are you driven by fear or faith?

The theological reality of the gospel is that Jesus’s life, death and resurrection has reconciled you to the Father. The relational reality of the gospel is that the gospel should connect you to the body of Christ. If you are in Christ, you should be a part of His family, the church.  

You don’t get peace without grace and you don’t get God the Father without knowing Jesus as Lord. 

Religion kills. It’s a trick. It convinces people that they are saved by their good works and self-righteousness. 

Are you ready to “come to your senses” and come home to your heavenly Father? 

Money cannot protect your soul, only direct it. Direct your soul to a deeper trust in your Good Father, the Good Shepherd.

Jesus not only rescues us from, but rescues us in and through our suffering.

Jesus, Immanuel, came to save us from our sin that we would no longer be separated from God our Father.

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

Christ came that we may all have a seat at the King's table.

No matter who you are, what you have done, or where you have been, salvation is offered to anyone who would trust Jesus.

God gives us faith and we bring Him trust. That is how we grow.

The enemy’s goal is to suppress the truth that God loves you because if you believe and receive that he does, it changes everything.
