I've found real magic in thinking on the page in the last year. I'd love for more people to experience this with me. "When I sit down to write, the meadow is still engulfed in darkness under a sky where satellites pass by, one after the other. My thoughts are flighty and shapeless, like dreams; they morph as I approach them. But when I open my notebook and write, it is as if I pin my thoughts to the table. After poet Andrea Gibson passed away this week, I realized that poetry and sensuality are deeply intertwined. Both require "masterful sensitivity" and the courage to feel everything, including pain. I believe most people don't realize they're poets, and by tuning into all nine of our senses (not just the basic five,) we can live more sensually and honor the brief, beautiful time we have in these bodies ⚠️Content Warning: Death/Mortality Discussion, Grief/Loss, Mental Health, Body Image Resources Mentioned: - Etymology of Sensuality - Royal Heart by Andrea Gibson - SENSUALISM: Being Sensual is a Lifestyle - How Many Senses Do We Have - Andrea's Instagram - How Cancer Transformed My Crushing Anxiety Into Boundless Bliss | Andrea Gibson | What’s Underneath - “I will not fight:” Viral poet says accepting cancer gave them more life - Tincture by Andrea Gibson - Poetry Watching by *me* - Carlitos Tiktok - Charlie's Tiktok🫶 Join my newsletter ⛅ Wild Geese Instagram 📓 Anna's Substack 💌 Anna's Podcast Production Services TIMESTAMPS: 00:00 intro 01:48 Craftsy Sponsorship 02:50 Sensuality and Sexuality are NOT the same thing 05:55 Royal Heart by Andrea Gibson 07:09 Choosing Poetry over Self-Help 09:30 We have more than 5 senses!10:30 Pain is a sense 10:55 5 counterintuitive mental health tips 12:50 it's about letting go, not adding more 14:15 Poetry watching 19:31 we're drowing our senses20:21 sensuality requires you to come in contact with your shame 23:48 exercises to get in touch with your sensuality 26:00 savoring the time we have 26:50 Tincture by Andrea Gibson29:58 lightening the mood lol

It often satiates our desire for answers and quick solutions. But it's becoming an obstacle to all of our flourishing. Today, we have to talk about how an addiction to convenience is killing our creative impulses. The algorithm is constantly serving up answers and interests on a silver platter. It's convenient. And it's eroding our ability to exercise autonomy, surprise ourselves, and live in the tension of creation. Tune in for a little exercise I'm going to be doing in the coming days to combat this issue. And join me if you feel so inclined! "create more than you consume." Okay...but HOW!? We're all addicted to scrolling already. How do we stop the cycle for long enough to actually create something? Well, we start taking notes. This episode is all about following your string of curiosity and getting serious about your interests. We've all heard the phrase "in order to be interesting, you need to be interested." So let's tap into the power of our own interests with a newfound intentionality. Never heard of digital gardening? Don't worry. Think of today's episode as a digital gardening crash course. In today's episode, we're chatting about: How to be a more interesting personWhy would taking notes help you be more creative? What is a digital garden? How do you create a digital garden? There is no time like the present to re-evaluate your relationship with men. The cost of centering men in your life: Never truly meeting yourself because you're stuck in a cycle of appealing to the male gaze Lack of autonomy and self-expression Loss of female friendships Missed opportunities And so, so much more... So what are we going to do about it? Some people are all about divesting from men completely. I don't think that's the answer for me. So today, we're talking about decentering men WHILE dating them. This episode will still be relevant if you're actively in a relationship with men or never wanted a relationship with men in the first place. We're all living in a patriarchal society - one that seems to be absolutely imploding and targeting women during it's downfall right now... Today, I'm sitting down for a completely off the cuff conversation with my mom❤️🔥 If you've never met my mom, you'll definitely be obsessed with her by the end of this conversation. After literally 3 days of trying to upload the video to Spotify with nothing but "failure to load" messages, I'm opting for audio only for this episode. Womp womp. Please go check out the Youtube video if you want to see all of the family photos and memes I've included love bugs. Last year for Christmas, I gifted my mom a Storyworth subscription that was meant to turn her stories into a book for my baby niece. But I decided, since my mom is one of the funniest, most insightful people I know, I might as well turn it into a little radio show for her as well. So while a lot of this episode may feel totally random to you if you're a stranger, it's incredibly meaningful to me. I hope you enjoy it :) CONTENT WARNING: Please take care of yourself, this episode does contain a short discussion about mental illness and suicide. If these topics are potentially triggering, consider switching to a different episode! You can't be yourself until you know yourself and you can't know yourself if you're constantly abandoning yourself in pursuit of other people. You can watch the full episode video on Spotify and Youtube (the memes really add to the experience if I do say so myself)! That's the heart of today's episode wrapped up in a sentence. Going into 2025, I hope we can all find the space to be a bit selfish. I've been thinking a lot about how I can toggle back and forth between fixer mode and victim mode. In 2025, I want to take a playful approach to being my own parent, ritualizing everything I do so that it's more fun and more beautiful to me, and getting to know myself intentionally. It doesn't have to all be intense goal setting in the New Year. It can be a process of slowmaxxing into the version of you that knows what you need and stops asking permission. We're talking about self-expression, self-exploration and devotion to the self today. If you enjoy the ep, talk to me! Leave a comment, DM me, follow the show, you know what to do my loves! We've all had incredibly vivid dreams where we stumble out of bed and immediately try to recall everything we can. But what do we do with the bits and pieces we remember? Most of us stop at retelling the juiciest bits to our friends. But what if our dreams were the key to understanding ourselves on the deepest level? Today, I'm chatting with Jared Ray Gilmore, a Jungian depth coach, audio engineer and composer. He blew my mind with this conversation. We're digging into how you can read the symbols in your dreams, what the function of your ego actually is, and so much more. If you enjoy this episode, share it with a friend! Girlhood is a state of constant embarrassment. Not to mention the feeling that you're just...always in trouble? So how the hell are we supposed to become well-adjusted adults when most of us have been raised to have a deep shame rooted in our bones? What if you started living your life like you begged God to send you back so you could feel again? That's certaintly what today's guest, Anna Lee, is doing. Anna is a documentary film maker and co-host of The Entreprequeers Podcast. But it doesn't feel right to try to conform her identity to a set of job descriptions. She takes on the French philosophy of "I work to live, I don't live to work." And you can frequently find her dancing unapologetically in public parks. We're talking about apocalypse magic and the year of the cockroach. If you don't know what those words mean, you should probably tune into the episode and find out. Okay, okay I KNOW the word "networking" can be freaky. And by freaky, I mean it can bring out the freaks. You know the ones - they're constantly cold pitching and saying things that make it clear they don't see you as a human being at all. They're trying to get you into some weird MLM. Whatever it is, they've got ulterior motives. Well this episode is here to tell you - it doesn't have to be like that! Really kind, warm, thoughtful people exist on the internet, do business on the internet, make friends on the internet and more. And today's guest, Anastasiya, is a brilliant example of what it looks like to network in a heart centered way. What if life for the sake of life was enough? What if we were operating off of a state of abundance, instead of scarcity? What if every human being really understood how closely linked (in-extractable) we are to other living beings? Would brutal and consistent resource extraction slow down? In this episode, I'm sitting down with Chloe Parsons to dive deep into our interconnectedness with nature. She's a watercolor and floral collage artist who creates art for the eco-sensual. You know that feeling when you're sitting around a campfire singing with friends and you think to yourself "why don't humans do this more often?" The feeling of singing with other people is electric. Maybe you only ever experienced that at sleep away camp. Or maybe you're like me and you're a tried and true choir kid. Even if you don't sing, if you've allowed yourself to experience a collective song, you know what I'm talking about. Well thanks to the work of Matt Goldstein, we don't have to fully join a choir to sing with strangers. Gaia Music Collective started with a few friends in a Bushwick apartment. Since then, they've grown to gathering hundreds of strangers every single week with the express purpose of bringing people together to sing. They've got events like One-Day Choirs that don't require any sort of audition or prior experience. And if you're more into the campfire, chill vibe, Candlelight Circlesings would be perfect for you. I really enjoyed this conversation with Matt for a little bit of behind the scenes into a collective that I've had my eyes on for months! It's a little bit ironic that the words "I don't wanna talk about anything" have been circling around my head for weeks, right as I launch this podcast. But don't worry, I'm not saying I want to quit yapping in your ears (I know you were worried). Quite the opposite! Those are lyrics from Adrianne Lenker's song "Anything." The title of this episode is just a line pulled straight from the song. Because...are you kidding? It's too good not to highlight and then circle and then doodle a little heart next to it. So today marks the very first iteration of the soft animal series! I hope you like it :) You can find links to all of the mentioned songs and articles HERE queens. Are you comfortable making BAD art? It might be the antidote to burnout! Today I’m chatting with Tali Dee, a former therapist who went from helping clients through creative burnout, to experiencing it herself. After burnout manifested in physical symptoms that sent her to the hospital, Tali knew it was time to take a leave of absence. And in that time away, she’s realized the absolute necessity of centering creativity in our lives. And we’re not just talking about “I’ll get to that creative practice once I’m in a better place” but actually using that creative practice as the bridge to that better place. We’re also diving deep into community. If you feel like it’s been hard to create a sense of community ever since the pandemic began, you’re not alone. So what does it take? Does adulthood mean that we’re always going to have to deal with a paywall to meet new people? Or can we take matters into our own hands? I hope this episodes leaves you feeling inspired to go pick up that blank canvas that’s been sitting in the corner for months. You deserve it! And if you’re in the throes of burnout, check out the resources Tali has to offer HERE. If you wish the wellness industry was a bit less puritanical, this episode is for you. I'm talking - you don't need to forbid yourself from going out dancing at the night club to feel good in your body. In fact, that sweaty, exhilarating feeling you get at a nightclub could be the key to body liberation. I'm sitting down with José San Miguel, Founder of Playground Movement, for a conversation that will leave you dancing through the street like Nicole Kidman after she divorced Tom Cruise! After going through tremendous loss, José came out on the other side with such a beautiful perspective of the world. I originally reached out to them because of this sentiment: we should assume that everyone is grieving. They put a video on their tiktok about this philosophy and the wind was sucked out of me. How can we show up for each other in grief? And how can we show up for ourselves? This is more than a conversation about fitness. Essentially, it's two people sitting down to reflect on what it is to move through darkness and alchemize grief. In this episode, we're chatting about: Personal style Queer expression Alchemizing grief to bring a new idea into the world What's next for Playground Movement The third degree dinner party We mention a few juicy resources that you don't want to miss out on so grab those HERE! Why should you listen to a podcast called Wild Geese? Well, maybe because you want to feel the wonder of a Mary Oliver poem strewn throughout your morning commute. My name is Anna Corinne, and together, I think we'll make a pretty good gaggle (that's what a group of geese is called). I've been studying the podcast industry for a while. Managing and strategizing with other hosts has shown me the magic tool to sustainable podcasting: curiosity. So I've created this podcast to dive headfirst into my curiosity and help you do the same. We're flipping the script away from mindless consumption and really zooming in on conversations that will wake us up. In each episode, I'm sitting down with guests that have one thing in common: they exude Mary Oliver energy. And once a month, you can expect a solo episode as part of my Soft Animal series.
