You’re showing up to your workouts. You’re sweating. You’re trying to stay consistent. So why aren’t you seeing results? In this episode of the Her Healthy Body Podcast, we break down one of the most common mistakes women make when trying to lose weight: doing more and more intense workouts while their nutrition, recovery, and metabolism can’t keep up. Many women train like athletes while living real life — raising kids, sleeping less, managing stress, and trying to stay consistent with their nutrition and fitness. We talk about why more effort isn’t always better, how too much intensity can slow your metabolism, and why fewer, more intentional workouts combined with supportive nutrition often lead to better results. You step on the scale… and it’s up. So your instinct is to tighten everything: eat less, do more workouts, and try to control your nutrition even harder. But what if the real problem isn’t overeating… it’s under-fueling your metabolism? In this episode, we break down the #1 metabolism mistake women make when trying to lose weight—chronic under-eating paired with pushing harder in their workouts. Over time, this pattern can slow your metabolism, increase stress in the body, and make it harder to stay consistent with your nutrition and training. We talk about what’s actually happening metabolically, why the scale going up can trigger control, and how to rebuild your metabolism through better nutrition, strength workouts, and real consistency. You may be under-eating, and it’s quietly slowing your metabolism. You’ll learn: Why under-eating can lead to weight gain and metabolic slowdown How protein supports metabolism, muscle, and workout recovery Why whole foods (including dairy and healthy fats) help control cravings How to lose weight sustainably without food guilt or burnout If you’re tired of spinning your wheels and want sustainable weight loss rooted in nutrition, workouts, and habits that last, this episode is for you. 📞 Book Your First Her Weight Loss Coaching Call If this episode resonated with you and you’re ready for clarity, consistency, and real results, we’d love to support you. Most people don’t think there’s a difference between pleasure and happiness — but there is a significant difference in how each one impacts your life, your discipline, and even your health. In this episode, we break down how chasing quick pleasure — whether that’s food, scrolling, skipping workouts, or avoiding hard conversations — can quietly sabotage your ability to lose weight, build real consistency, and support your long-term metabolism. We talk about: • Why instant gratification keeps you stuck • How pleasure-driven decisions affect your nutrition and workouts • Why learning to delay comfort is necessary if you want to lose weight • The connection between discipline and real happiness • How to build lasting consistency without extremes If you’ve ever struggled with staying consistent, sticking to your nutrition, or following through with your workouts even when you “know better,” this conversation will help you understand why — and what to shift. Because happiness isn’t found in what feels good in the moment. It’s built through habits that strengthen your metabolism, improve your nutrition, and help you lose weight in a sustainable way. In this episode, Coryn and Crysanne unpack the red flags to watch for when it comes to celebrity and influencer health advice. We talk about how some influencers use clickbait, “absolutes,” and dramatic claims to sell products that promise to help you lose weight, fix your metabolism, or transform your body overnight. You’ll learn: • How influencer marketing can distort your understanding of nutrition • Why extreme messaging harms long-term consistency • The problem with one-size-fits-all workouts and diet plans • How certain trends can negatively impact your metabolism • Why your favorite celebrity diet may not help you lose weight the way you think We also discuss how constant exposure to unrealistic standards and dramatic claims can subtly shift your belief system about health, discipline, and what “works.” If you’ve ever felt confused about who to trust, frustrated by conflicting advice, or discouraged because you’re doing the same plan as an influencer but not seeing results, this episode will help you think critically and protect your progress. Because real results — whether you want to lose weight, improve your nutrition, strengthen your workouts, or build lasting consistency — don’t come from clickbait. They come from strategy, discernment, and habits that fit your life. On this week's episode, Crysanne (mom, age 50) and Coryn (daughter, age 25) dive deep into proper portion control, the dangers of under eating, and macro tracking. Crysanne shares her own journey of tracking after gaining 30 lbs caused by years of under-eating. While tracking your macros is great for some, it isn't for everyone. Coryn shares some handy portion control tips she uses with her own clients, without having to count calories, macros, or use a food scale. It's important to remember that everyone is different. What works for some, may not work for others. However, eating the proper amount your body needs is crucial. Keep that in mind the next time MyFitnessPal tells you, you should only have be having 1,200 calories (which is the requirement a 2 year old should be consuming) in a day.
