This week on Bad Movies Rule, join James, Bob, Curt, and Farrell as they tackle a world gone mad after "The Cancellation," where roving gangs of themed Nazis (yes, really), praying-mantis-style cult leaders, leper chainsaw mutants, a ballerina gas mask guy, a telekinetic cult leader with laser eyes, and a bridge-guarding Popeye impersonator who multiplies when dismembered all coexist in glorious nonsense. Sandahl Bergman struts through the chaos in one of the most unforgettable (and barely-there) costumes of the '80s, while the plot ricochets from flea markets to pig pens, from poison chili to vampire dog people, and from plastic hammock prisons to a final Home Alone-style bridge battle. If you’ve ever wondered what would happen if someone threw Mad Max, Conan the Barbarian, The Warriors, and a acid trip into a blender, this is the movie for you. Unpredictable, ridiculous, and strangely watchable in the worst way possible — this one had the crew repeatedly asking “What the hell is happening?” every five minutes. A true "you have to see it to believe it" bad movie that somehow still rules. Grab your yellow rubber gloves, avoid the farmer’s market sluts, and settle in for one of the most bonkers rides in BMR history. The crew is back in the brand-new studio for a jam-packed Mailbag full of wild fan mail! James, Clint, and Ryan open a giant tube to reveal a killer Last Action Hero poster, then crack open Navy challenge coins from a veteran listener… only to discover one very unfortunate (and hilarious) Popeye dick pin that instantly breaks the #1 rule of the new mailbag song. The highlights keep coming with DJ Campbell’s massive care package: Poultrygeist, Don’t Breathe 1 & 2, Adam Sandler movies, Nightmare Before Christmas goodies, a baby rattle for James' granddaughter, and an absolute mountain of snacks that kicks off a full-scale pickle debate. Emails and voicemails deliver movie suggestions, Payback and Down Periscope love, Jaws sequel hype, a record-breaking $30 box office bomb story, and the Tone Loc roast that had everyone losing it. Plus plenty of new studio vibes and praise for the updated mailbag theme. If you love opening packages, ridiculous laughs, and great listener stories, this Mailbag episode is one you don’t want to miss! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
The Bad Movies Rule! crew closes out their old studio with a scene-by-scene breakdown of 1985’s Rambo: First Blood Part II. Joined by guests Bob Hauser, Ryan Farrell, and Curt, they unpack Stallone’s one-man army rampage through Vietnam—glistening muscles, exploding arrows, pirate boat betrayals, and “we get to win this time” catharsis—while dishing production trivia and handing out awards. James, Brian, Ryan, and first-timer Rachel roast Rob Schneider’s suspiciously adult high schooler, Leslie Nielsen’s bumbling cyborg colonel, magic Sega Game Gears, moto-surfing with oars, exploding houses, and one very determined elephant. Welcome back to another Mailbag episode of Bad Movies Rule! This week, the BMRmy brings the heat—literally. Attention, BMRmy! This week on Bad Movies Rule, we're trading dry land for the rusted-out hull of a diesel sub as we dive into the 1996 naval comedy, Down Periscope. The crew—along with special guest Mel from the kids' table—breaks down all the nautical nonsense and submarine tropes we can handle. Episode Highlights: A Questionable Command: We discuss Kelsey Grammer's pirate-like tactics, his clash with Admiral Graham (Bruce Dern), and the ongoing debate surrounding his infamous tattoo. Maximum Intensity: We debate Rob Schneider's performance as the wannabe-hardass XO, Pascal, and whether he dialed his intensity up to an 11 or if he was just in a completely different movie. Musical Whales: Uncovering the shocking (and highly scientific) revelation that whales might actually just be huge fans of Kenny G. The Ultimate Defense Strategy: Chuck pitches his completely foolproof, 12-star-admiral plan to catch enemy submarines using a massive trans-Atlantic net. Plus, we dive into our weekly honors, battling it out over who takes home the Will Patton Award for Intensity , the Trash Can Full of Dirt Award , the One Scene Wonder , and the prestigious Steve James Award for Best Supporting Actor. Grab your hot mops and duct tape, because it's time to kick this pig and leave 'em squealing from the feeling! The BMR crew read and react to fan mail from around the world—including recommendations for John Carpenter horror films (Prince of Darkness, In the Mouth of Madness) and GMR picks (The Full Monty, Room, Requiem for a Dream), a heartfelt note from a Finnish listener asking about host Ryan's family heritage tied to "Mattila/Matala," praise for their Death Warrant episode, wrestling Mount Rushmore debates (Hulk Hogan, Macho Man Randy Savage, Ric Flair, Undertaker, and more), celebrity encounter stories (like spotting Ryan Reynolds), opinions on Rob Zombie's directing style, divorce reflections tied to movie memories (Con Air as a honeymoon film), and a wild voicemail showdown involving "Lord V" drama and an over-the-top scream story about Robin Williams. The hosts also take a deep dive into Google Street View comparing Leeds, Alabama (complete with the infamous "Pants Store," one-story buildings, junkyards, and quirky local spots) versus Leeds, UK—declaring the UK version the clear winner. They discuss listener-submitted song ideas for the show, share laughs over voicemails (including one that could have been a hit if submitted earlier). Bad Movies Rule! dives headfirst into Michael Bay’s 2007 Transformers with hosts James, Stephanie, plus Dave and Ryan. The crew goes scene-by-scene through the Allspark hunt, messy robot transformations, military explosions, Shia LaBeouf’s anxious energy, and the legendary Megan Fox Camaro moment. They roast the over-the-top CGI fights, celebrate Bernie Mac’s car-lot hustle, riff on Bumblebee’s radio playlist, and debate whether this is a “bad movie that rules” or just a straight-up good popcorn blockbuster. Expect nostalgia, hot takes, family banter, and the usual awards chaos—because even giant robots can’t escape the podcast’s loving roast. The Bad Movies Rule! crew goes fancy for this mailbag with Clint Busch and special in-studio guest Katie Busch (yes, the one who sets the Katie test standard). Physical mail finally floods in: killer posters (Rollerboys, Tommy Boy, Hands of Steel), a NES game, bizarre DVDs, and the most dangerous candy drop yet—Little Nitro world’s hottest gummy bears that immediately torch Clint’s mouth while everyone else watches in horror. Listeners recommend Bigfoot Hitler Sam Elliott, KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park, Year One (which nobody likes), Mortal Kombat Annihilation, Howard the Duck (already done), and Son of the Mask. Epic listener stories include a childhood airport encounter with Andre the Giant courtesy of a chiropractor dad who treated pro wrestlers, plus the usual chaos: fake city tours of Thousand Oaks, CA, R.L. Stine’s Pumpkinhead roast, Arnold legacy sequel hype, depression shout-outs, and one very long email that gets partially skipped. The Bad Movies Rule! crew—James, Chuck, Dave, and Joe—rips through Jean-Claude Van Damme’s 1990 prison thriller Death Warrant scene by scene. Van Damme stars as undercover cop Burke sent into a chaotic lockup to investigate mysterious inmate deaths tied to a secret organ-harvesting ring run by guards and the terrifying Sandman. The episode is packed with roasts of the shaky fight choreography (including the infamous wrench beatdown and fire deaths), massive plot holes, awkward romance with Amanda, questionable prison “realism,” and Van Damme’s signature shirtless flexing. Tangents explode on banana bread, “I’ll be back” thugs, inmate brothels, peanut-shell etiquette, and whether Burke actually saves anyone. They hand out awards, read patron takes, and debate if this is a bad movie straight up or something more ridiculous. The Bad Movies Rule! crew is back for a wild mailbag with zero physical letters (thanks Ryan), a room full of beaver nugget spray, and Kurt officially crowned everyone’s favorite host. Plus: a Japanese voicemail nobody can understand, an attempted mailbag theme song that ends with “toys in my ass,” an F Mary Kill with three Jennifers, airport celebrity sightings, and RJ begging the guys to stop chewing into the mics. This episode we follow grieving dad Ed Harley (Lance Henriksen) as he digs up an ancient revenge demon to punish the dirt-biking idiots who accidentally killed his young son — complete with killer practical effects, swamp-witch rituals, and atmospheric lightning-streaked kills. What begins as a horror breakdown quickly derails into legendary tangents about cornfield nightmares, mono-cropping ethics, whether Joel belongs in jail for vehicular kid manslaughter, and exactly how Wisconsin handles edibles (spoiler: rectally, off the backs of cows). They hand out awards, read patron reviews, and ultimately debate if this atmospheric creature feature is a hidden gem or just a gloriously “bad movie that rules.” One of the funniest, most unhinged episodes yet. Eddie Murphy’s back as Axel Foley in Beverly Hills Cop II (1987), but this sequel’s a hot mess of ‘80s cheese! He’s chasing a boring villain (Jürgen Prochnow, yawn) through old barns, stolen mansions, and the flimsiest “Alphabet Crimes” plot ever. The synth music slaps, and Eddie is always amazing, but the script? Not so much. Is this a nostalgic gem or total trash? Before Lord of the Rings ruled the fantasy world, there was Willow (1988)—a tale of wizards, warriors, and what has to be the hungriest baby of all time. Warwick Davis plays a farmer-turned-hero, Val Kilmer swaggers in as a rogue swordsman, and together, they take on an evil queen, sketchy magic, and an angry guy named Kael. When a band can’t get their demo played, there’s only one logical solution—take a radio station hostage. Airheads (1994) follows three starving rockers armed with water guns and zero brain cells as they stumble their way into the most chaotic publicity stunt ever. Brendan Fraser, Steve Buscemi, and Adam Sandler play the The Lone Rangers (yes, I know), and somehow, they’re still not the dumbest people in the room. Does it rock? Does it bomb? Snoogans! Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back is what happens when two foul-mouthed stoners go on a cross-country road trip to stop Hollywood from ruining their comic book alter egos. Everyone listens to this episode, and no one quits. Would you like to know more? Starship Troopers (1997) is part sci-fi action, part satire, and all-out bug-squashing ridiculousness. The Griswolds are back, and this time, they’re taking on Sin City. Vegas Vacation (1997) throws Clark, Ellen, and the kids into a whirlwind of bad bets, worse luck, and Cousin Eddie being… well, Cousin Eddie. It started with DVD players and street races—who knew it would lead to cars in space? The Fast and the Furious (2001) gave us 4 minute nitrous-fueled drag races, and Vin Diesel growling about family before it was a meme. Paul Walker plays an LAPD officer trying to bust a gang of high-speed criminals but ends up in a bromance with Dom Toretto instead. Welcome to the future—where prisons are just islands full of murderers, and Ray Liotta is not having it. No Escape (1994) throws a disgraced Marine onto a lawless island, where survival means teaming up with the good convicts to fight the really bad ones. It’s part Mad Max, part Lord of the Flies, and all ‘90s action insanity. When the system fails, Frank Castle takes matters—and a whole lot of ammo—into his own hands. The Punisher (2004) delivers explosions, revenge, and enough brooding to last a lifetime. Thomas Jane brings the pain, John Travolta brings the overacting, and somewhere in between, there’s a popsicle torture scene we’re still trying to figure out. You may think that you're the heroes of this little adventure, but you're not. Borderlands, when it was released, was met with a firestorm of negativity from fans of the game to general audience members that even people who have never seen it assume it's terrible. Here, we amass a small group of people, some who played the games and some who didn't to see if it really deserves it's terrible reputation. Kevin Black, Jamie Lee Curtis, Cate Blanchett and Jack Black all signed onto what they though would be their next franchise, and here we pick pu the pieces of the aftermath. Hail to the king, baby! This week, we’re cracking open the Necronomicon (but definitely saying the words properly) to dive into Army of Darkness. Sam Raimi’s third entry in the Evil Dead series is equal parts slapstick comedy, medieval nonsense, and epic one-liners. Two idiots pretending their boss isn't dead so they can talk to chicks and drink free alcohol. That about sums up the plot, but somehow this movie has stood the test of time and is widely considered a classic by many children of the 80s. The movie proves that a surprising amount of comedy can be wrung out from even the thinest of premises, but does that mean it deserves its spot or has it been horribly overrated by Gen X? It's a box many remember seeing on Blockbuster shelves back in the 90s, but only the brave actually took Dr. Giggles home and watched it. A movie that is beloved by a generation somehow sits with critic scores low enough to put it on our radar. You may be shocked that we are covering National Treasure on our show, but think of this as the silver-lining of critics not being smart enough to recognize a crowd-pleaser when they see one. While it may be universally beloved, that doesn't meant that it has stood the test of time. So it's time to see if National Treasure and Nic Cage are still deserving of being considered national treasures. If there was a world where human cloning was real, are we going to pretend like Arnold Schwarzenegger isn't one of the first people that we would clone? In The 6th Day we get two Arnolds for the price of one and I couldn't be more excited to talk about this one. It may have flopped at the box office, and started to spell the end for Arnold's dominance at the movie chains, but there is still a lot of fun to be had with this one. Michael Rooker, Robert Duvall round out a great cast and it even has the bad guy from Ghost. What more could you want? Are we assembling again? You bet we are! It's time to join Gorilla, Hot Dog, Gypsy, The Fly and Steve as they head out to find Kandy Kane's father being held by an evil cult let by a guy with a glued-on Lincoln beard. Insane you say? Well isn't that half the fun with these early 80s martial arts flicks? We'll walk you through each scene of this incredibly realistic adventure. Just as long as you're ready to leave reality behind. The movie that divided many couples over the last 16 years. This movie has been roasted to a crisp before, but we've been waiting for our chance to take a crack at Twilight just to see what all the fuss is about. Is it truly the abomination that some have made it out to be? Well, only if you don't like 30 second stare downs between sentences, glittery vampires and the worst baseball scene in movie history. A tiny doll continues his reign of terror against unsuspecting people that are five times his size. It's honestly impressive how Chucky (Brad Dourif) is able to have success as a pint-sized murderer! The Russians have invaded, well at least one Russian and a bunch of non-descript terrorists and they are causing trouble nationwide! Will the police stop them? No, unfortunately there isn't a single cop available in the entire country, so we have to call in America's last hope, Matt Hunter aka Chuck Norris. Yo Joe! It's time to revisit the divisive live-action debut of the long-running GI Joe cartoon series. It's a movie with a pilot named Maverick, a need for speed, starring a 5'8" actor - but it's not the one you wanted to see, instead, it's NEED FOR SPEED! Aaron Paul jumps into his first big Hollywood leading movie, while Michael Keaton never leaves the room he's in, and Dakota Johnson mails in a few scenes for good measure. Is it always safe to go back to the movies you once loved? Boondock Saints upon its DVD release had a period of time when it was beloved by men, both young and semi-young. The critics hated this Brat-Pack western starring Emilio Estevez, Charlie Sheen, and Kiefer Sutherland, and even though it was a hit enough with audiences to spawn a sequel the critics thought this was just straight 80's cheese, even though it's supposed to be in the 1880s. A remake of the original Cabin Fever from just 14 years ago, because someone was brave enough to ask the question - "what if we did this movie again, but this time it sucked?" After everyone in the room was done clapping they actually made the thing! Same script, worse actors! James, Patrick, Mattila and Curt wade into this nonsense and take you through the movie scene by scene so you don't have to watch it yourself. Steven Seagal and his prison durag team up with Ja Rule as they both try their best to embarrass themselves in this early 2000s action movie that takes place on Alcatraz. The only people trying to break out are the people that are embarrassed to be in this movie. Because of the time it came out, it does carry a certain charm from that era, and there is lots of ridiculousness to love and roast. Did this movie deserve the beating it got from critics and audiences? The Lost World:Jurassic Park followed up one of the most beloved movies of all time, and it split audiences and critics down the middle. Jeff Goldblum was the only star that returned, and adding in Julianne Moore and Vince Vaughn was a big swing. We walk through this movie scene by scene, as always, roasting the bad and trying to find what was done well before giving our final verdict on Steven Spielberg's The Lost World: Jurassic Park. Knights of the Old Code! It is time to travel back to 1996 and revisit Dragonheart again to see if it still holds up. This is one of those movies that you either saw as a kid and loved it with all your heart, or you didn't see it until later and maybe it didn't hit quite as hard. How does it hold up 28 years down the line? Featuring Dennis Quaid and his disappearing accent, along with Sean Connery giving his all as the voice of Draco, this one had audiences and critics split. You either love this movie and have been defending it for the last 8 years, or you checked out back in 2016 as soon as you heard the word, MARTHA!! Either way, people have strong opinions on Batman vs. Superman and our hosts are no different. This film has been hotly debated among our group since before we even had a podcast, which is why it made perfect sense to save this one for one of our big episodes, number 150! The gloves are off and we are going to go through this movie and defend it or destroy it, so no matter what side you're on, you'll be represented here. Ratings wise this may be the 7th lowest film we've covered, but I'd rather watch almost anything else than this again. Dragon Wars is one of the worst movies ever made, and yet at the time of release was one of the most anticipated Korean films ever to come out. It somehow cleaned up at the international box office, and now it lands in our laps on Bad Movies Rule. Hopefully, you didn't watch it and you just listen to us nuke this thing from orbit. Back in the magical land of the 1990s, Hollywood was turning over every rock they could to find the next great martial arts movie star! Step into the spotlight, Jeff Speakman! A Kenpo master with undeniable skill and technique, but it takes more than that to be a movie star. Let's throw every Asian bad guy from every 80's action movie ever made and see if they can carry him to victory! Featuring incredible fight scenes, and an absurdly mute performance from Mariska Hargitay - listen to the guys decide if this is just straight-up bad or maybe it's a bad movie that rules! While not the first ever made, chronologically first in the saga, and if we had started here we may never have received 8 other sequels. For some that's a good thing, for others, it would be a tragedy. The prequels have been equally praised by the younger generation and destroyed by the older ones, but at its heart is it actually a terrible movie? We go through it scene by scene to see if it deserves the title or not. Not a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away, but right here and now. This is one of those classic bad movies that's been skewered by the best (MST3K), and it's time that we had our crack at it! The patrons voted for this one and so we're off to the desert to follow Billy as he stumbles around blowing up everything he can with his arm cannon while avoiding bullies and attacks from giant shell-less turtles! One of the original side-scrolling beat'em ups of the 1980s was turned into a movie, so you can probably guess how that turned out. Mark Dacascos and Scott Wolf star as Jimmy and Billy and they (kind of) kick their way through the gangs of a post-apocalyptic Los Angeles. You've got rampaging mutants that look like part of the male anatomy, Alyssa Milano as a gang leader, and renegade mailmen, but is it a bad movie that rules or just straight-up bad? Tommy Lee Jones has 72 hours to steal back a rocket car, and he wastes 98% of that time rolling around with Linda Hamilton. Does this heist movie deserve a second look from audiences, who have it rated at a 29% audience score? Or does this rocket car need to drive off a cliff never to show its face again? In an alternate future 1984, Tom Selleck is a beat cop chasing down runaway robots. Gene Simmons (yeah, the dude from KISS) is wreaking havoc with killer robo-spider, and only Tom Selleck and his bulletproof mustache can stop him. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Secret of the Ooze has been blasted by critics, and while it was beloved by children back in the 90s, what do those kids think now? Michelangelo, Leonardo, Raphael, and Donatello take on the Shredder (or spoiler alert: they don't) and try to save New York one more time, while also learning where they came from! What if Ben Affleck amid "misses" Forces of Nature and Bounce, made a heist movie that had plot twists on top of its plot twists, featuring an unhinged Gary Sinise and a young (crazy) Charlize Theron? A recipe for success you might think, but Reindeer Games got blasted by critics, and audiences and it bombed financially. Where did it go wrong? It had a great writer and an all-time director John Frankenheimer. Is it time to re-assess Reindeer Games or does it deserve its spot in the garbage heap of 90's cinema? Imagine the pitch meeting - "It's Santa Claus, right, but this one has muscles!" PRINT THE MONEY! Now, the rest of us are left to pick up the pieces of Hulk Hogan's Santa With Muscles (1996). Previous Hulk Hogan movies had him playing different versions of himself, and here he attempts to act and play a different character. It goes about as well as you'd expect. Many questions will be answered - how did Mila Kunis bury this performance? How can a lawn ornament bench press 300 pounds? Why is Ed Leslie playing an Asian? We'll pull it all apart, and then give out some awards, including our worst actor award, the "Steve Seagal" Trash Can Full of Dirt. Not too many movies out there featuring Jet Li in dreadlocks, but this is where we find ourselves. Even though The One (2001) is rated very low by critics, some swear this is an awesome movie. The movie made us laugh, we're just not sure it was supposed to. It also features one of the best Jet Li fights we've ever seen. We go scene by scene and answer the important questions - how did Jet Li get with Carla Gugino? Why is the only thing different in each parallel universe his hairdo? Why does Jason Statham have hair, and why can't he fight in this? We'll pull it all apart, and then give out some awards, including our worst actor award, the "Steve Seagal" Trash Can Full of Dirt. Lace-up your high tops, folks! We're about to journey back to 1984 and witness the classic/catastrophe that is "Breakin'" (1984). Directed by Joel Silberg, who I'm sure has lots of breakdancing experience, this film doesn't have a single cardboard dance floor or Adidas tracksuit. We will break down the dance moves that somehow pass as the pinnacle of '80s street style. With a great soundtrack but a plot thinner than the spandex in an '80s workout video, "Breakin'" is a time capsule of dance moves and fashion choices that we thought were cool at the time. But here's the burning question: Does "Breakin'" transcend its retro charm to become a genre-defining classic, or is it just a dance disaster that time forgot? Grab your boombox and join us as we breakdance our way through the laughs, delivering our verdict on Breakin! BMR delves into the '90s cyber-thriller abyss as we unravel the tangled web of "The Net" (1995). Directed by Irwin Winkler, this film shows us floppy disks that could destroy the world and the glorious 90s version of the internet. Join us as we hack our way through the implausible scenario of Sandra Bullock's loner shut-in who's unable to get a date. In this episode, we are so split we spend half the time arguing about the complexity of ordering pizza online. "The Net" is a nostalgic trip back to the days when we feared the World Wide Web more than appreciated it. Does "The Net" transcend its '90s nostalgia and remain a taut tech thriller, or is it just a pixelated relic in the annals of cyber cinema? Join us as we surf the net with laughter, delivering our verdict on whether "The Net" is a tech-thriller masterpiece or a dial-up era dud. If 'Terminator Salvation' had a user manual, it would be one page long: 'Don't let the machines win. Also, don't yell at the crew.' Here we dive headfirst into the mayhem of "Terminator Salvation." Directed by McG, this film promises killer robots, Christian Bale's infamous on-set rant, and the eternal question: 'How did Skynet ever become self-aware but not aware enough to know where the resistance is?' With a plot that's as tangled as a bunch of tangled wires, "Terminator Salvation" is a rollercoaster ride of questionable decisions. Can robots go to therapy? They may want to after being in this movie. But here's the burning question: Does "Terminator Salvation" rise like a Phoenix (or Terminator) from the ashes of its mixed reviews, or is it just another misstep in the franchise? Join us as we reload our humor circuits, delivering our verdict on whether "Terminator Salvation" is a killer hit or a 'seriously, what were they thinking?' glitch in the matrix. Hold onto your maple syrup, folks, because we're diving deep into "Yoga Hosers". Directed by Kevin Smith, this film promises bratwurst Nazis, teenage clerks, and a healthy dose of nepotism. 'Yoga Hosers' is like an inside joke at a party you weren't invited to. You'll chuckle politely, but you'll wonder what you're missing. But here's the burning question: Does "Yoga Hosers" transcend its absurdity and find a place in the realm of 'so bad, it's good' cinema, or is it just another in a line of flops for this filmmaker? Join us as we stretch our comedic muscles, delivering our verdict on whether "Yoga Hosers" is a downward dog of a movie or a Zen master of hilarity. Prepare for a survival horror experience like no other as we venture into the zombified world of "Resident Evil" (2002) on the Bad Movies Rule Podcast. Directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, this action-horror rollercoaster promises viral outbreaks, and Milla Jovovich kicking zombie dogs in the face. Join us as we navigate the treacherous halls of the mysterious Hive, where the Umbrella Corporation's secrets and zombies lurk around every corner, but none of the video game characters do. Also, who thought AI-controlled doors were a great idea? But here's the million-dollar question: Does "Resident Evil" emerge as a blood-soaked triumph in the realm of video game adaptations, or is it just another baffling entry in the world of zombie cinema? Get ready for a bite of the '80s as we sink our teeth into "Once Bitten" (1985). Directed by Howard Storm, this vampire comedy promises more laughs, campy moments, and questionable fashion choices than a decade full of neon and leg warmers. Join us as we follow the tale of Mark Kendall, played by a young Jim Carrey, who's targeted by a centuries-old vampire in need of some fresh blood. With characters so eccentric, you'd think they were auditioning for an '80s music video, "Once Bitten" is a cinematic time capsule of everything wonderfully wacky about the '80s. But here's the burning question: Does "Once Bitten" sink its fangs into comedy gold, or is it just another laughable relic from a bygone era? Join us as we unearth the undead hilarity, delivering our verdict on whether "Once Bitten" is a charmingly cheesy hit or a "seriously, what were they thinking?" miss. This week we talk about the 1987 re-quel (?) Evil Dead 2 starring The Chin himself, Bruce Campbell. Seriously, his eyebrow acting in this movie deserved its own Oscar category. At the very least his chin or his hand should have gotten their own acting credits as they carry this movie centered around an evil force terrorizing people in a lonely cabin deep in the woods. Why did "Father" have to come to this remote cabin to read the Necronomicon? We don't ask salient questions here, we just chop at stuff with our chainsaw hands. This is an important life lesson to learn from this movie, when faced with a problem remove your own hand and replace it with a chainsaw. Problem solved! In 'Werewolves Within,' the biggest mystery isn't who's the werewolf, it's why anyone in their right mind would want to live in Beaverfield. We're sinking our teeth (hit the pun counter) into "Werewolves Within" (2021) on the Bad Movies Rule Podcast. Join us as we navigate the residents of Beaverfield, trapped by a snowstorm and one of them is a werewolf. The town's emergency plan in 'Werewolves Within' seems to consist of screaming and running in random directions. If only the characters in this film were as good at detecting werewolves as they are at making bad decisions. Does "Werewolves Within" claw its way into the hall of fame for hilarious horror comedies, or does it just leave us howling at the absurdity?
