Jennie closes out The Lie You Don’t Know You Believe Book Club with a powerful sendoff: freedom isn’t the finish line - it’s the starting point. She reminds us that real revival doesn’t begin in crowds or movements, it begins in individual hearts. And more often than not, it starts with something simple but costly: honesty. Confession. Bringing what’s hidden into the light. This episode is both a celebration and a commission: you’ve done the work…now it’s time to live it and lead others into it. Francis shares how, despite a painful childhood, God used the faithfulness of ordinary people to reshape his life. Check out Boll and Branch today and support the Jennie Allen Show! In week five of the book club for The Lie You Don’t Know You Believe, Jennie dives into what may be the deepest lie underneath them all: the belief that we are alone. While the core lies - I’m helpless, I’m worthless, I’m unlovable - show up in different ways, they all point to one underlying fear: I will end up alone. Jennie unpacks how this belief fuels anxiety, depression, and disconnection - and why the antidote isn’t just knowing truth, but living it out in community. Jennie continues the The Lie You Don’t Know You Believe book club by focusing on one of the most important steps toward freedom: naming the lie you’ve been believing. She walks through the three core lies - I am helpless, I am worthless, and I am unlovable - and how they quietly shape our lives, keeping us stuck in shame and striving. But the good news is that God offers a different story. Instead of trying to prove ourselves, control everything, or earn love, He meets us in the gap we could never cross on our own. They also talk about the cost of stewarding a move of God, the practical leadership it required, and why they believe this was never just about one room - it was about sending people out to the ends of the earth. We are bringing back one of our favorite episodes! What if following Jesus was less about carrying responsibility and more about responding to invitation? In part one of this conversation, Jennie sits down with Jamie Winship to talk about identity - not as something we achieve, but something we receive. Jamie shares his story of becoming a police officer, working in war zones, and learning to bring who he is into what he does, rather than letting his work define him. Jamie introduces two simple questions that have reshaped how Jennie leads, decides, and lives: “God, what do you want me to know?” and “What do you want me to do?” This episode invites us to slow down, listen, and remember that God is not asking us to carry everything - He’s asking us to respond to Him. Most of life isn’t a launch or a finish line. It’s the middle, mundane, conflicted, unglamorous, and that’s exactly where God grows our maturity, resilience, and trust. Jennie names the “messy middle” we all live in: between starting and celebrating, between intention and fruit. Looking at scripture, parenting moments, and the behind-the-scenes of launching Gather25, she reframes the middle as holy ground. This is where perseverance forms character, trust replaces control, and faithfulness becomes the measure of a life with God. In this episode, Jennie Allen sits down once again with Dr. Curt Thompson. They dive deep into the connection between our thoughts, emotions, and relationships, exploring how true transformation comes not just from "stopping spirals" but from deep attachment and connection with God and others. He challenges the idea that we can simply "think our way out" of struggles and instead reveals how co-regulation, secure relationships, and community are essential to emotional and spiritual health. This conversation is rich, thought-provoking, and filled with wisdom on how to rewrite the stories we tell ourselves, combat shame, and truly rest in the love of God. Key Takeaways: You are not alone in your struggles – healing happens in relationships, not isolation. Spiritual growth is about attachment – we were designed for connection with God and others. Your story matters – bringing hidden parts of yourself into the light leads to true transformation. Faith isn’t just about the future – God is preparing us now for the life to come. In today's episode, Jennie talks with Dallas Jenkins about his newest project, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. For Dallas, this film is more than nostalgic entertainment; it’s the fulfillment of a calling. After years of praying for the chance to tell this story, he brings the Christmas message to life, sharing the true meaning of "unto you a child is born." Dallas believes that Christ came for everyone, especially the outsider and the overlooked. Dallas also opens up about the challenges of surrendering outcomes to God, especially in a success-driven world. He shares how he’s learned to offer his "five loaves and two fish" and leave the rest in God’s hands, a lesson that has been central to both The Chosen and The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. Through storytelling, Dallas hopes to remove barriers that people often face with faith, presenting Jesus in a way that is both authentic and accessible. In this episode, Jennie continues her exploration of the book of Galatians. This time, she focuses on the tension in chapter 5 as Paul presents a contrasting message. Throughout most of Galatians, Paul emphasizes that our salvation is not dependent on our performance or adherence to the law. However, in this passage, he lays out a list of behaviors that he warns will prevent us from inheriting the kingdom of God. Jennie shows us while it may be tempting to judge others or focus on external behaviors, the key lies in understanding the inner transformation that comes from being filled with the Holy Spirit.
