Reading in the Book of Acts it seems as though there are a lot of miracles. In the book of Acts lets dig a little deeper and ponder on the question why? Why are there miracles in the Bible? How can we get a miracle and if we do is there a purpose? Join us today for the answer!

So many people who think they are Christians might not be. They may have missed step one which is hearing what JESUS said it means to follow Him.

He hated Jesus' followers but one day he had an encounter with the risen Jesus and everything changed. He went from Saul the Jesus hater to the Apostle Paul the Jesus lover.

As Christians, we need to understand that if we believe and follow the Jesus of the Bible that we are on the same team. We may disagree about things like End Times or if we should speak in tongues. We may disagree about when we should take communion or if we should sing hymns or modern worship songs. But those are non-essentials.

Today we see applause and appreciation from Jesus to the church of Philadelphia – a church filled with Jesus followers who were doing everything right! Join us today as we see what that looks like and how we can be just like them!

Do you have people in your life that want nothing to do with Jesus? They hate that you are a Christian. They hate the church. They hate it when you talk about your faith. It’s those people we think God would never save. Could never save. But today in Acts we will see that God can and does save people like Saul who will eventually become the great Apostle Paul.

Join us today as we continue our study in Luke as we talk about doubt. What we will see is that even very godly men like John the Baptist doubted! We will work through what our job will be to stop our doubting as we recognize that doubt - untreated - can kill our faith!

We never know how far and wide the message of Jesus will go when we actually open our mouths and share Him with others.

Living on planet Earth is difficult. Think of tragedies and heartache, addiction, and politics. Think of wars and famine and earthquakes and hurricanes. But as Christians – we know this earth is just temporary and as a follower of Jesus – we know this is not our forever home!

Jesus confronts sin and false teaching INSIDE THE CHURCH and we see this from the Church at Thyatira. Join us as we see how this church has been linked to Jezebel in the Old Testament and why tolerance inside the church is deadly to our faith!

Some of you feel persecuted in your faith. Your family thinks you are crazy because you follow Jesus. Your boss thinks you are a Jesus Freak and your friends don’t want to hang out with you! Today we will meet Stephen who felt the exact same way and yet he never wavered in his faith!

Faith. What exactly is it? Today we will talk about this as a Centurion comes to Jesus and asks Him to heal his beloved servant. We will see Jesus’ amazing answer and see what it means to trust and rely on God for the things we need.

“Compromise will destroy your faith.” Join us as we learn that God has great things in store for us but when we compromise it only hurts us!

The problem in the early church came down to ”TIME.” Nobody had time to do what needed to be done, which begs the question: Are you exhausted because you are doing what everyone expects of you? Are you doing what you are passionate about or are you doing what others feel you should be doing?

People say they are Christians but they don’t read the Bible and don’t do what the Bible says.  But Jesus says He must be “Lord” of our life so what should that look like?  Are we building our faith on a solid foundation where Jesus is the center?

What are you feeling crushed by? Life? Heartache? Persecution? Whatever it is we will learn valuable lessons from the early church of Smyrna as Jesus commends them for staying faithful regardless of what was going on in their lives!

What do we do with tragedy? Heartache? Loss? How can we fit a loving, all-powerful God into this picture when we know God COULD have stopped something bad from happening but He didn’t?

Why should we read the Bible? Why should we know the Bible? Why should we store the Bible in our brains? Well, I assume it is because that is how we get to know God. That is how God changes us when we see how to live life His way. Join us today as we talk about the importance of really knowing the Word of God.

Do you do things for God but have no love for Him?? Are you busy working for God? Going to church and bible study? Giving? Serving? And if so – why are you doing those things? Today we will see the Church of Ephesus which was filled with Christians but the problem was – they lost their first love for Jesus. Does this church look like you? Busy but no love for God? 

How big is your God? That’s a great question because how you answer that question will determine how you live your life. If God is big – you will live a life of peace. You will pray more. Believe more. Trust more. So is God big in your life?

We hear people say “Judge not lest ye be judged” so we are under the assumption that we shouldn’t judge anything. But that’s actually not true. There are times to judge and confront someone.  Join us today to see what the Bible says about this.

We live in a world where Jesus has been made to be whoever someone wants Him to be! But is that the Jesus we see in Revelation? No way! Today we will see the true picture of Jesus that should change our lives!

Today we will talk about the war that is going on inside of us. The early disciples knew this battle well and what we will learn is there is a battle between our Flesh and the Spirit.  The question is…who is winning, our flesh or the Holy Spirit?

Revelation begins as John begins by saying we are "blessed" to read this book! An amazing start to an amazing book!

So often we hear partial truths about the Bible especially when it comes to miracles or healing. As we study the book of Acts we see miracles happening all around the early church and we are told that is the norm, but is it?

Jesus asks us to "love the person who hurt me" or  "turn the other cheek."  But when we see what Jesus asks of us our first response is..."But I CAN'T..."  Today we will see that yes you can!

Are you religious? Most of the trouble Jesus had was with religious people. Today we will see this huge difference between religion and a relationship with Jesus as we talk to a woman who was raised in the LDS church. She was a Mormon for 40 years and when she left the church for the first time in her life she felt freedom and peace.

When we become followers of Jesus, we begin to change because the Holy Spirit - God Himself has moved into our lives. Sometimes change takes time but here is what we know:  change is inevitable!

As a Christian, you have been adopted into God’s family. But if God is a good Father – why do bad things happen to His kids? Join us today as we continue in Romans.

Miracles. We all need them. We all pray for them. But sometimes God says no. Sometimes He leaves us unhealed  or leaves us without a miracle. So what do we do? How do we handle this? When we become a follower of Jesus our POSITION is “In Christ” but along with our position we have a CONDITION and that condition includes our sin nature. Join us to see why we should begin to look different each day!

To those who want to know about Jesus, we are a fragrance of life. But to those who want nothing to do with Jesus to them, we are a fragrance of death. Our job is to give people an opportunity to know Jesus but we are not responsible for their choice!

God entrusted us with the job and that job is to tell people about Jesus. But why don’t we want to do that Why aren’t we passionate about this? Today we will talk about WHY we should share the good news of Jesus!

We live in a day where we have more free time to do anything we want but as a follower of Jesus – what do we do with our time? Do we use it to learn more about the Bible so we can know God better?

When we become a follower of Jesus there is a spiritual battle within us between our flesh – what we want to do and the Holy Spirit showing us what God wants us to do. As we begin to change inwardly people will be able to see that we not only claim to be a Christian but we actually ACT like one.

God is in control. We see that throughout the Bible, but some people don’t like how life is going for them. But, God has a purpose and plan which is why nobody has to have pity parties about their life any longer!

Does God “showing up” in miraculous ways grow our faith? Usually not. Today we will see why the silence of God should grow our faith and not turn us away from God.

Today Jesus faces off with the religious Jewish leaders as He heals a man on the Sabbath.  This is unheard of, but Jesus is making a point.  Knowing God is about Jesus – not about traditions and man-made religion.

If someone walks away from their faith in Jesus, are they still considered a Christian? We will talk about this in light of what Judas – a disciple of Jesus – did.

Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, stands up to preach an amazing sermon to the Jews who should have been prepared for this day! Their Scriptures prophesied this would happen so why were they confused?  Today let’s talk about Prophecy!

Religion. Man-made rules. Adding to what God said in His Word. When Jesus told a healed man to pick up his mat on the Sabbath the religious Pharisees were so angry. Why? Because they thought Jesus wasn’t following the Law. But is that what the Law really says?

When it comes to speaking in tongues is there a secret prayer language?Should we pray in tongues? Are there rules in church services regarding how to speak in tongues?

When we first become Christians, we are kind of clueless as to what following Jesus is all about!  Today we will learn more lessons from John the Disciple about what this looks like!

Jesus healed one lame man at the Pool of Bethesda but there were a lot of others who were not healed. Does God use non-healing to further the Gospel like He uses healing?

This is a divisive topic and your position comes from what denomination you come from. If you come from a charismatic church you believe everyone should speak in tongues and if you don’t, you might not be saved. If you go to a strong bible church Nobody would ever think that way. So what does the Bible say?

We like life to be about us. We want to do things our way but when we become Christians, we begin to realize that now life has to be about Jesus and not about us. Today we learn this from John the Disciple!

One day Jesus asked a man who had been lame for 38 years this question: Do you WANT to get well? Do you WANT to be healed? Because if Jesus healed him, everything in his life would change. Today we will see how this plays out in our own lives!

On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit showed up in wind and fire. He breathed spiritual life into those who followed Jesus. WHY? So they would go do something and serve God wherever He needed them. The same should be true of us today!

Jesus performed a lot of miracles but was there a purpose behind them or were the miracles just random? Why do some prayers for miracles NOT get answered THE WAY WE WANT?  Join us today as we talk about this.

As followers of Jesus, there was a day when EVERYTHING changed! The Day of Pentecost because suddenly the Holy Spirit, God Himself, would indwell believers. Today let’s see why the day of Pentecost was a pivotal moment for all of us who have surrendered our lives to Jesus.

Were the disciples qualified to BE disciples? In the eyes of those who knew them – I doubt it. But the great news is that God changes us so we can take the good news of Jesus to those around us even if we don't feel qualified!

The Bible says I have died to sin. We are free from the bondage of sin. But if that’s the case, why DO I still sin? Then we will talk about what we need to do with the sin that creeps up in our life and we will learn that sin is a predator!

The disciples were all different.  They had different jobs and different personalities.  These were the men who would carry the message of Jesus into the world and the good news is that means God wants to use us all!

How do I know if I am a cultural Christian or a true born-again Christian? 2 Corinthians 13:5 says we need to examine ourselves so let’s do that today!

Rejection. We have all felt it but when God was choosing a new disciple after Judas, the guy who WASN’T picked for the job never felt rejected because he saw God’s hand in it all. Today let’s talk about that!

When Jesus picked His disciples – He didn’t pick the brightest and smartest.  He picked those who were unschooled and self-centered. But those were the kind of men Jesus knew He could use and transform and He can do the same for us!

Are we hearing the truth about Salvation? In this age of cultural Christianity, I am not sure we are hearing the full and true story. Join us today as we see what biblical salvation looks like from the book of Romans.

We hear a lot of people say things like “God told me to do this or that.” How do we know that God is actually speaking to us? Today let's talk about that as we continue in Acts chapter 1.

Does your church tell you what you can and can’t do? If so, that is not what Jesus is after. He is after a heart change!  This is why we need to know the Bible!

Biblical prophecy is being fulfilled but do Christians know what to look out for? Do we know where to be looking in the Middle East for the Anti-Christ because the Bible tells us the region he is coming from? Do we know a new Jewish Temple will be built and that is a sign the return of Jesus is close?  Do we see what is going on in Israel as "Biblical Prophecy" being fulfilled?

When life changes sometimes we feel so sad. We know all the right answers in our head but sometimes our heart has a hard time catching up with our head. Today we will talk about why we don't need to get stuck!

Do you follow the Bible or do you follow rules given to you by your church? Jesus never approved of religion or legalism but He was born into a time when there were Pharisees and teachers of the Law who didn’t like what Jesus was offering:  Freedom FROM Religion and Legalism!

Living water. Jesus tells the woman at the well that this is what she is missing in her life so what is this? Join us today for the answer!

The Holy Spirit has so many roles. Comforter. Strengthener. He leads and guides us. But it’s in the difficult days that so often God feels distant. Today we will talk about those times when we just don’t feel His presence and we will talk about what we can do to get our eyes refocused on Him.

Christians aren't perfect. Some people have a past. So how do we treat them? Are we a Judge or are we a Doctor?  Are we judging or trying to help them heal?

If you are a Christian that means someone was courageous enough to have shared the gospel – the good news of Jesus with you. Do you remember who that person was? Because you will spend all eternity with God because they cared enough about you to tell you this amazing news. Are you THAT person for others?

When life gets difficult it’s easy to become fearful. We spend so much time asking the “what if” questions: What if I lose that person? What if I get sick? What if my child gets in an accident? That is no way to live life. Today we continue in Acts as we talk about who the Holy Spirit is and why He is so important in our life especially when it comes to worry!

Sometimes people get stuck and don’t want to follow Jesus because they have a past. They feel ashamed. They feel God could never love them. But that’s not true and we will learn today from a man named Levi who had to put his past behind him so he could follow Jesus!

John the Baptist had the right motive for following Jesus, and it was this: Jesus must become greater and I must become less. He must increase and I must decrease. Today let’s see what making Jesus greater in our lives should look like!

Imagine Peter, a good Jewish boy telling his parents he was going to follow a Jewish carpenter who claimed to be the Messiah! I bet that didn’t go over very well! But after Jesus arose from the dead everything changed for Peter and now he couldn’t stop telling people how Jesus changed his life!  The same should happen to us. How do we tell others about Jesus? Today we will give you some tips!

Sometimes there is this fork in the road and the question is: Are we going to take the path where we live life for ourselves or are we going to take the path of following Jesus and live our lives for Him? We will look at this today in light of sharing our faith!

Do we understand what the TRUE Gospel is because there are a lot of counterfeit gospels out there. Can we tell the difference? Where we spend eternity is at stake with which gospel we believe!

We tend to think of the church as a building. But the early church didn’t have buildings. They knew that THEY were the church and they had a mission – to get the good news of Jesus out into the world and the same is true for us! We are the church and we have a mission. Join us today as we see what that means.

When we surrender our life to Jesus something changes but this has nothing to do with religion or rules.  Instead, our heart changes. But doesn’t God give us a bunch of rules? Not really!  Join us today as we talk about this!
