The New York Rangers recently released an open letter to their fans declaring this season lost. Then they came into Philadelphia and blew out the Flyers. Philadelphia Flyers GM Danny Briere opened up some space under the salary cap on Sunday, trading the long-injured Ryan Ellis’ contract to the San Jose Sharks for Carl Grundstrom & Artem Guryev.
